此次活动为815公祭衍生活动，将分别以中文场及英文场同步进行，即 1）探讨马来西亚与东南亚地区多元族群与社会对二战历史的记忆与诠释 2）分析战争纪念碑在国家叙事、 族群记忆与地方历史建构中的象征意义与功能 3） 不同地区的二战纪念实践与纪念文化, 促进区域历史的整体理解展开讨论。

《MEMORIES & MONUMENTS OF WWII IN MALAYSIA AND SOUTHEAST ASIA》
As a side event of the 815 Memorial Ceremony, the seminar on the following day will be held concurrently in Chinese and English. This event aims to:
1.Explore the memories and interpretations of WWII history held by multi-ethnic groups and societies in Malaysia and Southeast Asia;
2.Analyze the symbolic significance and functions of war monuments in national narratives, ethnic memories, and local history construction;
3.Examine WWII commemorative practices and cultures of remembrance across different regions to foster a holistic understanding of regional history.
