𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗾𝗶𝗯, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁.

While he may be a new face at CVSKL, Dr Raqib brings extensive experience in electrophysiology, having previously led an electrophysiology unit at one of the country’s major heart centres, managing a high volume of complex heart rhythm cases.

In this introduction, he shares more about his approach to care and the advanced technologies he uses in his practice, including 3D mapping and pulsed field ablation (PFA), to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders. Ever wondered why your legs hurt or feel tired when you walk? Or why your feet are often cold, numb or slow to heal?

An aortic aneurysm is an abnormal bulge in the aorta, the body’s largest blood vessel. It can develop quietly, often without any noticeable symptoms — but as it grows, the weakened vessel wall becomes more vulnerable to rupture, which can be life-threatening.

For selected patients, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) offers a minimally invasive alternative to open surgery. The aneurysm is treated through smaller incisions, generally allowing for a shorter recovery.

EVAR requires careful planning, technical skill, and precision. Dr Tan Kong Hean, Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at CVSKL, is experienced in both open vascular surgery and advanced endovascular procedures. This breadth of expertise allows him to assess each case individually and determine the most appropriate treatment approach for each patient.
