The joys of Motherhood, a life changing blessing. I've copy-pasted this Mum's inspirational messages here, so anyone in need of a morale boost, hopefully finds it through her beautiful story.

"From a journey filled with uncertainties, disappointments and endless hope, to finally holding our little miracle in our arms. ❤️

Our IVF journey was not an easy one. After 3 unsuccessful attempts due to my thin uterine lining, we almost lost hope. But with the care, dedication and guidance of Dr Sumithra, we decided to try one more time, adding Endometrial PRP to our 4th embryo transfer.

And finally, in January 2026, we received the news we had been praying so hard for — a positive pregnancy test! 🥹❤️

On 2 September 2026, our little miracle, Michael, arrived safely into this world, healthy and perfect. 👶🏻💙 Today, as I look at him in my arms, I am filled with so much gratitude, love and emotions that words can hardly describe. After everything we went through to get here, being able to call myself a Mummy is truly the most precious gift of all.

Thank you, Dr Sumithra, for never giving up on us, for your patience, professional care and for being part of this very special chapter of our lives. We will always be grateful for everything you have done to help us achieve our dream of becoming parents.

Our little Michael may be too young to understand this journey, but one day, we will tell him how much he was wanted, how hard we prayed for him and how loved he has always been. 🥹💙

From being your IVF patient to becoming a proud mummy, this journey will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Having my son is probably the happiest thing that has ever happened in my life. ❤️ Life has changed so much since he came along, and everything feels more meaningful now. Of course, the father is super happy too! 🥰💙.

During one of her earlier visits, she told me, "my husband says this will be our final attempt".

Then she got an earful from me 😁. I'm sure those who know me, will be able to attest that this would definitely have happened 😂.

I remember telling her not to have such a defeatist attitude when she hadn't even given me a chance to sort things out and work with her yet. And I think, I easily went on and on along the same lines for the next 15 - 20 minutes 🤣, quite literally 'in nagging mode'!

Most patients would have run off to some other fertility specialist/centre after this, but this brave woman came back 😁!

Her history:
Failed 6 embryos in her previous IVF centre in 2025, in 3 transfer cycles. This broke her and her husband’s hearts to pieces. This was why hubby said, "no more".
Came to see me at Sunfert@Bangsar South in December 2025.
We managed to get 7 blastocysts in March 2026.
Her 1st frozen embryo transfer (FET) in July 2026 was successful.
She's currently 12 weeks pregnant.

We found an endometrial polyp and got it removed before her FET with us. I suspect this was the reason for her previous failed FETs in her previous clinic. Every other test came back negative.

Today, her husband is the happiest man on earth. He was literally beaming from ear to ear on their final visit with me, yesterday. They have graduated from Sunfert@Bangsar South!

3 IVF centres across 2 different states, 5 IVF cycles. Married 12 years, since 2014. Mum's 41 and rocking motherhood! Dad sobbed at their positive pregnancy test and again, when he found out he was going to be a father to a baby girl ❤️.

# 1st IVF (not in SBS) - 1 day-3 embryo, failed
# 2nd IVF (not in SBS) - no embryos

They then came to see me in Sunfert@Bangsar South (SBS) in March 2024, we performed 3 more IVF cycles:

# 3rd IVF June 2024 - she had ovulated before I could do her egg collection (OPU).

LUCKILY, THIS DIDN'T BREAK THEM, AND THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE 🙃. There were no dramatics, no blaming; just shock and profound disappointment, on their parts and mine.

# 4th IVF February 2025 - 3 blastocysts frozen.
# 5th IVF May 2025 - 3 blastocysts frozen.

♡ 1st Frozen embryo transfer in Sunfert@Bangsar South in October 2025 - pregnant.
Delivered baby Kairavii in June 2026.

3 months old Kairavii came for a visit and brought me beautiful lotuses (her name) and sunflowers (our name) 😃! She couldn't care much for the photo session though, as you can see 😆😅! Same old, same old, babies just don't seem to like me very much 😂! Haish!!!

Baby Alia brought her grandparents, Mum and Dad for a visit. She made them wait 9 long years for her. Her Mum and Dad married in 2017.

It took 3 IVF cycles in 2 different clinics for Mum to finally conceive.

The things we tried:
# advanced s***m testing
# endometrial receptivity analysis
# Immune and clotting screening
# specialised fertilization media
# advanced s***m selection techniques
# PGTA
# immune modifiers during embryo transfer
# probiotics
# downregulated her hormonal cycle before embryo transfer
# prayed every step of the way - most likely what actually worked 😆😄😁🤣!

Immotile s***m, twitching s***m

1st IVF February 2023, 8 eggs, 6 ICSI, only 2 fertilized, 2 blastocysts frozen.

2nd IVF April 2023, 11 eggs, 9 ICSI, 4 fertilized, only 1 blastocyst frozen.

So, from a total of 19 eggs, we only had 3 blastocysts frozen in this 33 year old woman.

1st frozen embryo transfer (FET) July 2023, transferred 1 blastocyst, pregnant and delivered their baby boy in April 2024.

2nd FET August 2026, transferred 1 blastocyst, currently ongoing 6 weeks pregnancy. Due date May 2027.

Being so young, her eggs have managed to compensate for his severe s***m motility issues, making viable good quality embryos.

Failed 12 embryos in her previous IVF centres, from 2019 - 2023, age 33 - 37.

This lovely couple came to see me at Sunfert@Bangsar South in June 2023.

We did a recurrent implantation failure screen and an endometrial receptivity window analysis.

We did 2 IVF cycles, non PGTA, made 2 blastocysts, in 2023.

Her 1st frozen embryo transfer (FET) with us in May 2024 ended in a miscarriage.
Her 2nd FET in September 2024 gave us baby Regina, after 12 years of marriage.

They came for a visit today. As you can see, baby Regina wasn't very impressed with me 😆 🤣. She's 1 year and 4 months old now.

Mum is 40, and they're ready to expand their family. Which means, we need to start making more embryos very soon.

When you're young, your fertility treatment success rates are higher because you make more normal than abnormal eggs.

For example, this 30 year old did a PGTA test on 8 of her embryos (she has a total of 27 blastocysts; not my proudest moment, because, that's way too many embryos!) and they all came back usable. Not a single aneuploid embryo (among these 8, that is).

This couple had previously accepted that they may never have children after failed IVF cycles in their previous centres. They came to see me at Sunfert@Bangsar South to give it one last shot.

She had 2 blastocysts transferred, 1 implanted, and now both Mum and Dad are indescribably happy. Congratulations, enjoy parenthood ❤️.
