Honoured to be back at AMSC Malaysia 🇲🇾

A heartfelt thank you to Malaysia Oculoplastic Conference 2026 and Elogio Asia APAC for inviting me to share a topic close to my heart — ultrasound in aesthetic medicine.

This time, I explored how ultrasound elevates the assessment and management of periorbital aesthetic complications — from precise filler identification and targeted removal to managing Tyndall effect, overfilled syndrome and vascular occlusion.

It was a true honour to meet Dr. Nikolai Tankovich, MD, PhD — one of the pioneering minds behind modern medical laser technology.

From his early innovations in laser hair removal to pioneering non-ablative fractional laser technology, his work has helped shape many of the technologies we use in aesthetic medicine today.

His spirit of innovation continues with MultiFrax — an ingenious, highly portable fractional laser combining 1550 nm and 1927 nm wavelengths, delivering simultaneous bi-wavelength energy at different tissue depths for precise skin rejuvenation.

What inspired me most was not only his remarkable achievements, but his relentless curiosity and passion for continuous innovation. Meeting someone whose ideas have helped advance an entire field was truly a privilege.

A heartfelt thank you to Multifrax Asia for making this memorable encounter possible and for bringing together innovation, education, and the people behind the technology.

Back to where it all began.

Over the past two years, I’ve spoken at conferences and led workshops in aesthetic medicine, sharing clinical insights and patient safety principles. Yet today carried a different weight.

After more than two decades, I returned to my alma mater, the International Medical University (IMU)—this time as a lecturer for the MSAM IMU Aesthetic Medicine Course—delivering my first lectures to aspiring aesthetic doctors.

Standing once again where my journey first started was both surreal and humbling, a meaningful opportunity to give back to the institution that shaped me.

A true full-circle moment I will always cherish.

Honoured to be returning to AMSC Asia 2025, Hong Kong, one of the region’s most respected platforms in aesthetic medicine and surgery.

It is always a privilege to join distinguished international colleagues in shaping meaningful, forward-looking discussions on the evolving landscape of aesthetic practice.

This year, I will be sharing on the advanced integration of ultrasound in aesthetic medicine, focusing on precise filler identification, targeted management of facial overfilled syndromes, and a more accurate, time-critical approach to vascular occlusion reversal—enhancing both safety and clinical confidence.

In addition , I am delighted to co-host a dedicated ultrasound hands-on workshop, covering ultrasound physics, facial anatomy, and practical strategies for seamlessly integrating imaging into modern aesthetic workflows.

Beyond speaking and training, I am honoured to also contribute by chairing several scientific sessions, facilitating clinical dialogue and knowledge exchange throughout the conference.
