I received msgs informing what we experienced, some are in the same boat & unsure what's going to happen in future.

For those who read my whole post would understand what we went through.
I hope no one goes through the same as its a painful experience.
Some thought we closed down because business was bad & i leave it to their imagination.
Some asked why not just shift to a new location too.

Since the very start, we have never missed a rental nor was the payments delayed.
Even in MCO 1.0, when i asked for a reduction in rental as none was sure of the uncertainty of the pandemic despite moratorium given, yet my request was denied.
I knew many whose owners gave a form of waiver of rental to help ease the burden.
Every 3 years a story cooks up to increase the rent, with the 2022 tenancy a hike of about 15%
After only a meeting with the father was it brought down to about 12%
The current tenancy dispute arose because of a 30% hike in rental.
Already as a solo GP i'm paying the highest for such unit in that area.
As much as we tried to absorb the operation cost all these years, however this was too steep to even consider.
Hence we were forced double rental to be paid too.

For those who assumed business was bad, our payments for income tax yearly is high and audits by LHDN showed all our records are in good health & properly filed.
For the business world, though not practiced in such manner usually, however i was brought up to do things with honesty & integrity.
For scripture explained the same, Matthew 22:21.

Finally shifting to a new location sounds logic & easy but the cost of starting a clinic isnt cheap & bureacracy involved takes months for approval when it could be done faster & more efficiently.
Rent continues while the await for the Borang & all other expences despite a standstill in operation.
Latest onboarding strategy by major panels also a factor that dents the pocket which some charge up to RM5k a panel.

So hope this clears the air for those who thinks it's easy running a clinic & assume why the fuss of starting oneโœŒ๏ธ

With a heavy heart, i inform that we have officially ceased operations at Klinik AR Medicare after nearly 13 years.
I received many calls & messages asking if we are renovating or moving & we thank you for your concerns & well wishes.

The truth is, a 30% increase in rental wasn't something we expected.
For 1 year, i have been trying to negotiate a reasonable rental but it was refused & double rental was forced upon us throughout this time.
It was not favourable to continue further & face a 3 year cycle of different stories created to increase rental absurdly.

So let me refocus on the positivity of this journey.
Through the years, we have met many beautiful people who were patients but now are more like friends.
We have given our best in service be it in our management or treatment of each individual whom visited us.
We believe you have gained not just an outcome but more of an experience that you will remember forever.

From various parts of Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, India, Yemen, Australia, Saudi and even France for all the online consultations & visits despite residing from a far.
We thank you for being with us & the trust shown.

I would like to thank my parents for being there always to hold my hands & guide whenever i needed them most.
My brother, Adair, who is truly a shoulder to rely on & the one behind the scenes helping in anyway possible to let me pass the storms.
They have been there from the very start till the end.
Blessed i am to have such souls in my life.

My wife, she seen me through the highs & lows.
The difficulties faced, only she will know.
Working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for over 3 years, and lasting till today, to only see it gone in an instant.
Yet she still stands right by my side.
A perfect partner indeed God has given.

I have seen more than enough patients who skip breakfast & consume coffee on empty stomach with all kinds of recurrent symptoms and health issues for me to not stress in the importance of proper breakfast. And many donโ€™t make the connection between their daily habits and health symptoms.

Without good health you cannot be productive at work and even for the simple daily chores and tasks at home.
When you burn out and forced to slow down, remember that the world doesnโ€™t stop for you, it carries on in fast pace.
Never be sucked into the rat race. Do your best and enjoy the journey and be grateful for everything.
