Back to where it all began. 💛
September feels a little different for us this year.
It’s our anniversary month, there’s a little blessing of our own happening too 🤫 and most meaningfully, it marks the beginning of Yellow Optical’s very first CSR programme.
When we first thought about doing something for the community, we naturally thought of where part of our story began: Tsun Jin High School, Sam’s secondary school.
We honestly didn’t know how the idea would be received, so being welcomed and supported by the school meant a lot to us.
Together with the school, 13 students were selected to receive a fully sponsored pair of glasses, including their eye examination, frame and lenses. There is nothing for them to pay.
The selection was thoughtfully coordinated with the school, with consideration given to students whom this programme could meaningfully support in their learning journey.
It may only be a small beginning from Yellow Optical, but it comes from a very sincere place.
Sam often says that when he was a student, he probably didn’t appreciate those school days as much as he should have. Now, being able to return as a senior and do something for the students who are walking the same corridors he once did feels especially meaningful.
We simply hope that clearer vision can make studying a little more comfortable and that these young students can enjoy this chapter of their lives a little more. 💛
