Physiotherapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) both share the same goal of helping individuals regain independence, either after a fall, surgery, or stroke, and can also benefit patients with dementia.

At ReU Living, we provide our residents with Physiotherapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) support, with in-house DBC Physiotherapy at ReU Living Gardens and MiCasa, and the Occupational Therapy Pop-up Clinic by Rework Rehabilitation at ReU MiCasa.

With this, there is specialised support within a familiar environment, helping to provide a more holistic approach to recovery to our residents.

From improving strength, balance, and mobility to relearning everyday activities after a fall, both therapies play an important role in recovery.

At ReU Living Gardens and MiCasa, residents can access in-house DBC Physiotherapy.
At ReU MiCasa, there is specialised support within a familiar environment, through the Occupational Therapy Pop-up Clinic by Rework Rehabilitation.

Together, PT and OT work together to provide a more holistic approach to recovery.

长辈忘东忘西，到底是正常老化还是失智症 (Dementia)？
许多家庭常把这两者混淆。其实, 正常老化只是偶尔忘记小细节, 并不影响日常生活。而失智症会导致长辈忘记基本常识, 严重影响生活自理能力。
如果家里长辈出现忘记关火、迷路回不了家、情绪性格明显改变、说话找不到合适的词、日常自理出现困难等情况, 建议尽快安排见医生 🧑‍⚕️
发现这些signal后, 接下来你可以这样做：
1️⃣ 记录观察到的变化
2️⃣ 先看家庭医生, 再视情况转介 老年科医生 或 神经科医生
3️⃣ 咨询职能治疗师 (OT), 了解适合的介入方式
职能治疗师 (OT) 虽然不能治愈失智症, 但能维持长辈的生活自理能力、设计日常认知训练刺激大脑功能，并定期整理 progress report 和医生保持沟通。

专为智力障碍人士 (OKU Intelek) 打造的免费职业模拟培训空间, 已成功帮助过百人踏入真实职场!
今年4月, Rework Rehab 职能治疗师 (OT) 团队前往吉兰丹参与 MOTNC 2026 (马来西亚全国职能治疗师大会)。在这趟学习之旅中, 我们实地考察了这个由 USM 大学与卫生部 耗时 10 年打造的职业模拟培训空间。
这里通过三大模拟环境, 零经济门槛培养学员的职业素养、纪律与工作节奏：
☕ 模拟咖啡厅： 练习点餐、备餐与待客。
👕 模拟洗衣房： 练习分类、清洗与折叠衣服。
🛏️ 模拟酒店： 练习客房服务与应对客人。
这种务实的训练模式成效明确。过去 10 年来, Pusat Transformasi OKU 已经成功帮助超过 100 位智力障碍人士, 依照自身的能力稳稳地走进真实职场。
