Visited Ipoh today and saw everyone celebrating Buddha’s Birthday…
My KL brain immediately went: “Wait, isn’t that Vesak Day?” 😵‍💫😂

So I asked Cundi Mama. 🪷

Turns out:
Today honours Buddha’s physical birth in many Chinese Buddhist traditions. 🌸
Vesak remembers Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment & Parinirvana. 🌕

Different dates, same reverence.
Less arguing, more compassion. 😌✨

今天去怡保，看到大家在庆祝佛诞，
我这个 KL 脑袋直接懵了：“不是卫塞节才庆祝吗？”😂

于是我去问准提妈妈。🪷

原来，今天是许多汉传佛教纪念佛陀诞生的日子；
而卫塞节则纪念佛陀的诞生、成道与涅槃。🌕

不同传统，同样恭敬。
少一点争对错，多一点修慈悲。✨

This Vesak Day, you may choose your blessing offering according to your intention — light, purification, merit dedication, abundance, clarity, or smoother conditions ahead.

Available offerings include 24hrs Lotus Light Offering, Leaf Bowl Smoke Offering, Small Lotus Candle, Cone Smoke Offering, Zambala Bathing Blessing, and Four Face Buddha Blessing Ribbon.

这个卫塞节，你可以根据自己的祈愿方向选择供养项目：供灯、净化、回向功德、祈愿福报增长、清明守护、诸事顺缘。

Watched Mother Bhumi premiere at TRX Aurum Theatre Screen X — premium cinema, adjustable seat, popcorn, drinks… and Fan Bing Bing sitting right in front of me. Healing level: upgraded.

At first, I thought “Di Mu” would be about the Chinese Earth Goddess or Phra Mae Thorani, but the real ritual was me decoding every symbol in the movie.

From the perspective of Xun Healing, this film is meaningful because it opens up conversations about black magic, santau, bomoh, spirit disturbance, medium life, land energy, and how unseen forces affect human emotions.

It also reminded me that being a healer or medium has never been easy — from the past until today. Many carry people’s pain, fear, doubts, and judgment silently, while still trying to serve, heal, and guide others.

I’m grateful that in today’s world, more healers and spiritual practitioners are able to do this work full-time, be seen, be respected, and be appreciated with less judgment. Healing work is real work, and it is never as simple as people think.

Director Chong Keat Aun’s style? Poetic Malaysian folk realism — beautiful, spiritual, historical… and slightly brain-exorcising.

Fan Bing Bing’s face basically carried the movie. And that Malay scolding scene? Iconic.

To me, movie watching can also be healing. Sometimes we don’t just watch a story — we reflect on belief, fear, trauma, and the unseen world around us.

Also, please tell me:
What does the buffalo mean? And why is the monk on top of the freezer?

Because if anyone climbs on my fridge, spirit or not, Xun Healing will not be responsible for what happens next.
