From ecosystem conversations to media engagement, it was a rewarding day of dialogue on the future of clinical research in Malaysia.
CRM was pleased to welcome Novo Nordisk's Vice President of Trial Operations (ALAMP), Dr Raman Shetty for an inter-stakeholder engagement session, bringing together partners committed to advancing Malaysia's position as a leading clinical research destination.
Novo Nordisk has been a valued contributor to Malaysia's clinical research ecosystem, with impactful trials such as FRONTIER 4 in haemophilia and ARTEMIS in myocardial infarction demonstrating the country's ability to deliver high-quality global research.
During the discussions, we highlighted key advancements that are shaping the future of clinical research in Malaysia, including:
🔹 Faster study start-up timelines, targeting 90 days
🔹Increased adoption of decentralised clinical trials to improve patient retention and accessibility
🔹 Expanded Phase 1 and First-in-Human study capabilities
🔹 Strong collaboration across regulators, researchers and industry
The candid and productive discussions, including participation from NPRA, underscored the importance of partnership in driving continuous improvement across the research ecosystem.
Earlier on the day, CRM had the opportunity to join Novo Nordisk's Media Roundtable with media representatives and Digital Opinion Leaders to discuss the broader clinical research landscape and the collective responsibility to raise awareness of clinical research among the public.
Together, through innovation, collaboration and shared commitment, we can continue to expand opportunities for patients and strengthen Malaysia's role in global clinical development.
