🩰 Are you forcing your turnout?
Many dancers unknowingly create turnout from their knees and feet instead of their hips. This causes excessive tibial rotation and places unnecessary stress on the knees, shins, ankles, and feet.
Over time, this can lead to:
✔ Knee pain
✔ Meniscus injuries
✔ Shin splints
✔ Achilles tendon problems
✔ Ankle impingement
True turnout originates from the hip joint. Developing proper hip mobility and strength can significantly reduce injury risk and improve performance.
Dance smart. Train your turnout from the source. 💃
