As parents, caregivers, and educators, it’s important to look beyond behaviour and create emotional safety where children feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Sometimes, the best way to help a child learn to communicate is not by asking them to speak more, but by helping them stay engaged.

Being playful and “silly” on purpose can help children:

Many people believe they need to “hold on a little longer” before seeking support.

But mental health struggles do not always look dramatic or obvious.

Sometimes, it looks like:
- feeling emotionally exhausted all the time
- becoming easily irritated
- withdrawing from others
- losing interest in things you once enjoyed
- constantly pushing through while feeling overwhelmed inside

You do not have to wait until everything falls apart before reaching out for help.
