1. 守
2. Natural Resilience
3. Shhtick
4. 季
5. 给
Let Nature Speak to Us Ecological Art Workshop Artwork Exhibition.
The works are presented in the same sequence in which we listened to each creator introduce their work on the day.
Behind every work is a story of its own. There seem to be parts that cannot quite be put into words, yet somehow find their way into being through the creation. Each piece carries its own sense of vulnerability and resilience. And somehow, each one leaves us with a sense of hope, of continuing to move forward.
Interestingly, all the works with Chinese titles happened to have just one character. Sometimes, the more we distill language, the deeper its meaning seems to become. A single character can hold an entire story, a feeling, or a world within it.
Our artwork is called 「蛹」, meaning “Cocoon.”
It feels especially fitting because the cocoon also reflects each of the participants. Every leaf carries its own brokenness. Yet those broken parts have become part of the leaf’s identity, making each one distinct and irreplaceable.
Each cocoon waits for the day when it can break from its shell.
The butterfly carries a profound symbolism. It is a symbol of transformation, of becoming something different through a process that cannot be rushed.
Perhaps one day, we too will experience our own moment of transformation. A moment when we emerge from our own cocoons and discover a landscape we have never seen before.
