We are honoured to announce that the Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Malaysian Medical Association (SOEM-MMA) has once again been shortlisted for the prestigious Anugerah KKP by the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH).

As part of the evaluation process, the Society underwent a comprehensive audit conducted by an independent panel of auditors appointed from MIROS and PERKESO.

Being shortlisted for the second consecutive year is a meaningful recognition of our unwavering commitment to advancing occupational and environmental medicine in Malaysia. More importantly, it reflects our continuous efforts to strengthen professional standards, promote excellence, and contribute towards safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces for all.

16 January 2026 – The Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Malaysian Medical Association (SOEM-MMA), paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Director General of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia, En. Husdin bin Che Amat. The meeting focused on discussions regarding the endorsement of SOEM-MMA’s newly developed Occupational Medicine Case Series book, as well as the nationwide dissemination of the Occupational Safety and Health in Schools video developed under the OSH Master Plan (OSHMP) to schools across Malaysia through the Ministry of Education.

The discussion also explored strategic pathways to further strengthen occupational health initiatives in Malaysia through collaborative efforts between DOSH, SOEM-MMA, and other like-minded professional bodies, with the shared objective of safeguarding the safety, health, and wellbeing of the nation’s workforce.

SOEM-MMA extends its sincere appreciation to Dr Ahmad Fitri Abdullah Hair, Director of the Occupational Health Unit, Dr Rajinderjit Singh, and the team for their invaluable support, guidance, and continued collaboration.
