We note the recent affirmation by LHDN that fees paid for recognised postgraduate specialist examinations—including MRCP, MRCOG, MRCPCH, and MRCPsych—are eligible for income tax relief under the Income Tax Act 1967.

This development provides meaningful support to medical practitioners pursuing specialist qualifications and reflects a positive step in easing associated financial commitments.

Credit to the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) for its advocacy efforts in bringing this matter forward.
