🌱 PROJEK SAYANG 2.0 HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! 🌱

The Mental Health Association Sarawak (MHAS) Kuching Branch, with the generous support of the Rotary Club of Kuching Unity City, is delighted to share that the first two modules of Projek SAYANG 2.0 have been successfully completed!

We are honoured to welcome 21 enthusiastic participants who have taken the first step towards becoming future Community Mental Health Champions. Their energy, openness, and willingness to learn have created a safe and inspiring learning environment.

Projek SAYANG 2.0 is designed to be highly interactive, reflective, and practical. Through discussions, real-life scenarios, group activities, and personal reflection, participants learn how to recognise emotional distress, reduce stigma, communicate with empathy, and support others within their own communities.

πŸ’š One important message lies at the heart of this programme:

You don't have to be a mental health practitioner to make a difference in someone's life.

Sometimes, a compassionate conversation, a listening ear, or knowing where to guide someone for help can become the turning point in their journey.

Mental health is everyone's business, and stronger communities begin when ordinary people are empowered with the confidence and skills to care for one another.

Congratulations to all our participants for completing the first milestone. We look forward to continuing this meaningful journey together in the upcoming modules.
