🖤 REST IN PEACE, OUR 5 HEROES 🕊️
Today is a heartbreaking day for Sarawak and our healthcare community.
Five members of the Flying Doctor Service mission — a pilot and four Ministry of Health healthcare personnel — lost their lives while carrying out their duty serving our rural communities.
For those of us in healthcare, we understand that bringing medical care to rural Sarawak is never simply another day at work.
Our Flying Doctor Service teams travel into some of the most remote parts of our motherland so that distance does not prevent someone from receiving healthcare.
They go because there are patients waiting.
They go because rural communities matter.
They go because serving and caring for others is the responsibility they chose to carry.
Today, five of them did not make it home. 💔
To the pilot and our fellow healthcare frontliners — thank you for every journey, every patient you cared for and every community you served.
Your dedication and sacrifice will always be remembered.
