We are an official American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site offering a range of medical, nursi

The UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre provides simulation-based educational programmes catering to the medical, nursing and health related educations for learners of all levels (inclusive of public programmes). The mission of the centre is to develop competent, confident, reflective and ethical healthcare providers and learners of all levels by employing state-of-the-art simulation techniques to foster a highly experiential and contextual learning environment to enhance application of knowledge, thereby improving healthcare outcomes. The centre also collaborates with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre American Heart Association International Training Centre (UKMMC AHA ITC) as a training site for American Heart Association (AHA) life support programmes such as Heartsaver® CPR and First Aid, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support which offers participants with official certifications in related courses from the AHA.

From Classroom Learning to Life-Saving Action: Resuscitation Megacode
Our Year 3 Bachelor of Nursing with Honours students participated in a Megacode Practice as part of their Emergency Nursing learning unit at the Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS.

Working in a high-fidelity simulation suite, students were challenged to manage a simulated patient in cardiac arrest, integrating the knowledge, clinical skills, principles and treatment protocols covered in their individual classes into a comprehensive resuscitation scenario.

This is simulation-based education in action. Through realistic clinical scenarios, students bridge the gap between theory and practice, strengthen clinical reasoning and decision-making, develop teamwork and communication skills, and build confidence in managing high-pressure emergencies — all within a safe, controlled learning environment.

The UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS in collaboration with the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia (IMAM) and Masjid Darulhana Patingan (MDHP), recently brought lifesaving skills to the community through the First Aid, CPR & AED Awareness Programme in conjunction with Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) International Lifesavers Day 2026.

With 96 participants, the programme combined engaging talks, demonstrations and hands-on practice in CPR, AED use, choking management, splinting and bandaging.

From the classroom to the community, the message is simple: with the right knowledge, confidence and courage, anyone can make a difference when an emergency happens.

The team from UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences successfully pulled-off the Moulage Mania Competition which was held in conjunction with the Malaysian Society for Simulation in Healthcare (MaSSH) 2026 International Conference on Healthcare Simulation themed "Healthcare Literacy: Let's Go for It" held on 17-19 September 2026 at the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, Putrajaya.
