Dr Sim is a Consultant Urologist with expertise in Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery. He graduated with honours in 2005 from University College Dublin, Ireland. He subsequently completed his Urology Specialist training in Singapore General Hospital. There, he was awarded a SingHealth fellowship to further advance his skills in minimally invasive surgery at the Eberhard Karls University
of Tuebingen (Germany). Dr Sim treats both benign and malignant urinary tract diseases, which include BPH, Urinary Stones, Urinary Tract Cancer (Kidney, Bladder, Prostate) and Urinary Dysfunction. He has focused on acquiring advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques to treat these conditions as it results in better patient outcomes and recovery. Dr Sim has pioneered supine PCNL, ECRIS, Video Endoscopic Lymphadenectomy (VEIL) and zero-ischaemic partial nephrectomy with super-selective clamping. Dr Sim has been invited to be speaker and trainer at international and regional conferences. He has published extensively in peer review journals. Prior to returning to Malaysia, Dr Sim was Director of Endourology and Fellowship at Singapore General Hospital. He has won numerous service awards for his excellence in patient care.
