Quick recap of the ADOS-2 Advanced Research Training!

A truly enriching and hands-on training experience with Dr Steve and Dr Kourtney!

What made this training especially valuable was the very small group setting — just 1 trainer to 5 participants — allowing us to maximise the learning experience through close supervision, practical demonstrations, and plenty of hands-on practice.

The focus was not just on performing the assessment, but also on how to score accurately and interpret the child's responses thoughtfully and meaningfully.

It was also fun (and sometimes quite challenging! 😄) to see fellow Developmental Paediatricians and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists working so hard to engage the child and elicit responses during the assessment. It really reminded us that administering ADOS-2 is both a science and an art — requiring patience, observation, flexibility, and good clinical skills.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, practise, and grow alongside such passionate colleagues.

Thank you to everyone who made our ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Training (Modules 1–4) and Toddler Module from 19–21 July 2026 such a memorable and meaningful event!

It has been a week since the training, and we're still reflecting on the valuable knowledge and experiences we gained. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Steve and Dr. Kourtney for sharing your expertise, insights, and passion throughout the 3 days. It was truly a privilege to learn from both of you.

One of the highlights was reconnecting with old friends and colleagues from university, previous workplaces, and different professional settings, while also meeting many new faces who share the same passion for supporting individuals with autism and developmental differences. The learning, discussions, and networking made the experience even more rewarding.

It's a wrap!

We have successfully completed the 3-day ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Training (19/7/2026 - 21/7/2026) !

Over the past three days, we gained in-depth insights into the administration and coding of the ADOS-2 across the Toddler Module and Modules 1–4. The training was filled with interactive discussions, clear explanations, and practical examples that deepened our understanding and strengthened our clinical skills.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Steve and Dr. Kourtney for sharing your expertise, guidance, and engaging teaching throughout the training. Your passion and dedication made this a truly valuable learning experience.

Looking forward to applying what we've learned in clinical practice and continuing to grow in supporting autistic individuals and their families.

What an incredible start!

We've successfully completed Day 1 & Day 2 of the ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Training (Modules 1–4), bringing together more than 70 professionals who are passionate about advancing their knowledge and clinical practice.

A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding speakers, Dr. Steve and Dr. Kourtney, for sharing their expertise, insights, and practical experience throughout these two inspiring days. Your dedication and engaging teaching have made this training a truly valuable learning experience for everyone involved.

Tomorrow is the day!

The countdown is almost over, and we're excited to welcome an incredible group of developmental pediatricians, general pediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists, and allied health professionals from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei to our ADOS-2 Training Workshop.

We're especially honored to have Dr. Steve Kanne (University of Missouri, USA) and Dr. Kourtney Nigh (University of Kansas, USA) leading this intensive training, sharing their expertise in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder using the ADOS-2.

We're looking forward to five days of learning, and meaningful discussions with colleagues committed to advancing autism assessment and care across the region.
