The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), in collaboration with the USM Pharmaceutical Sciences Society, successfully organised the Pharmacy4Kids 2026 programme on 1 August 2026, welcoming 24 primary school students to an exciting day of hands-on learning and scientific discovery. The programme was held at the Physiology Teaching Laboratory, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM.
The Pharmacy4Kids programme introduces young learners to the world of pharmaceutical sciences through interactive, experiential learning activities. The programme aims to nurture curiosity and promote interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) among school children.
Through engaging activities such as anatomy exploration, medicine formulation, pH experiments, lung model construction, quizzes, and pharmacist role-play, participants gained insights into pharmaceutical sciences and the career as a pharmacist. The programme enhanced students’ scientific knowledge while fostering teamwork, communication skills, and curiosity about healthcare and STEM careers.
The Pharmacy4Kids organising committee would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the management of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM, staff and student facilitators from the Pharmaceutical Sciences Society USM for their support, commitment and contribution to the success of this initiative.

Innovation in Healthcare: Molecular Minds, Global Impact
On 26 June 2026, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia proudly hosted the Undergraduate Research Day 2026, celebrating the culmination of our final-year students' research journey.
Centred on the theme "Innovation in Healthcare: Molecular Minds, Global Impact," the event showcased the remarkable Final Year Research Projects of our graduating students, highlighting their passion, innovation, and commitment to advancing pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare.
Through poster presentations and the 3-Minute Presentation (3MP) session, students shared the significance and impact of their research with confidence, demonstrating not only scientific excellence but also the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Their projects spanned diverse areas of pharmaceutical sciences, including drug discovery, pharmaceutical technology, microbiology, pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, and public health, reflecting the breadth and depth of research undertaken at the School.
The event also marked the successful completion of the students' undergraduate research projects and provided an opportunity for academic discourse, knowledge exchange, and recognition of the dedication demonstrated by both students and their supervisors throughout the research process.
The School extends its sincere appreciation to our supervisors, examiners, organising committee members, staff, and students for their invaluable contributions in making this event a memorable success. Your dedication, guidance, and collaborative spirit continue to foster a vibrant research culture that inspires the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists.
