Truly honoured to be invited to the “Sweet Cake Party” organised by 美味风采 ✨

This wonderful event was proudly sponsored by JP&Co, Farm Fresh Malaysia, BlueKey, and Star Brand, bringing together passion, creativity, and professionalism into one meaningful cake competition.

This time, Chef Bernard and Chef Alvin proudly represented Tazz Lab as the Head Judges for the “Sweet Cake Party” competition. It was truly a joy and touching experience to witness every participant’s effort, creativity, and dedication throughout the event.

A huge congratulations to all 25 participants 👏
Many of you stepped onto a competition stage for the very first time. The courage to take that first step and challenge yourself already deserves the biggest applause — you are already champions in your own way.

The true meaning of competition is never only about winning or losing.
It is about learning, growing, and pushing yourself beyond your limits. We hope this experience becomes a beautiful beginning to your pastry journey, and that all of you continue to shine brightly in the baking world ✨

Many people see competition as simply about winning or losing.

But from our perspective as judges, the true meaning of joining a competition goes far beyond the title of being a champion. It is about having the courage to step forward, challenge yourself, grow through the experience, and proudly present your passion and effort.

Especially in this Parent-Child Cooking Challenge, what touched us the most was not only the cooking skills displayed, but the teamwork, communication, trust, and bonding shared between every parent and child on stage.

The most meaningful part of a competition is not just the moment of receiving a trophy, but the memories created, the lessons learned, and the courage gained throughout the journey.

As judges, we truly admire the dedication and effort shown by every participant. Thank you for bravely stepping onto the stage and sharing your creativity, passion, and beautiful family moments with everyone.

And of course, congratulations to all the winners. Your hard work, creativity, and performance truly deserved recognition.

But to every participating family, we also want to say this:
The moment you chose to participate, challenge yourselves, and complete something together as a family — you were already winners ❤️

Congratulations once again to all participants and winners, and thank you for reminding us that food is not only about flavour, but also about love, connection, and warmth.

很多人会觉得,比赛的定义是“输赢”。

但以我们评审的角度来看,真正参加比赛的意义,从来不只是为了冠军,而是愿意踏出那一步,挑战自己、突破自己,并把自己的努力与热爱勇敢呈现出来。

尤其这次的亲子厨艺挑战赛,我们看到的不只是料理技巧,而是每一组亲子之间的合作、沟通、陪伴与信任。现场每一个一起讨论、一起完成作品的过程,都比成绩来得更加珍贵。

比赛真正的价值,不是站上领奖台的那一刻,而是在过程中所累积的回忆、成长与勇气。

身为评审,我们非常敬佩每一位参赛者的投入与用心。谢谢你们愿意站上这个舞台,把最真实、最温暖的一面展现出来。

当然,也恭喜所有得奖者。你们的努力、创意与表现都值得被肯定。

We are truly honoured to have myself, Chef Bernard, and Chef Alvin invited to participate in the Parent-Child Cooking Challenge jointly organised by Sin Chew Daily and Toshiba Malaysia.

It was a privilege for Tazz Lab to be part of this meaningful event as an official collaboration partner, while also serving as the main judging panel for the competition.

We would like to sincerely thank the organisers for giving us the opportunity to be involved in such a heartwarming and memorable event.

This competition was more than just a cooking challenge — it was a beautiful moment of bonding, teamwork, and love between parents and children. Watching every family work hand in hand to complete their dishes was truly touching and inspiring.

We were also delighted to taste the amazing creations prepared by all 10 participating parent-child teams. Every dish carried not only flavour and creativity, but also the warmth and love of family.

Congratulations to all participants and winners, and thank you for sharing such beautiful moments with us. We look forward to being part of more meaningful events like this in the future ❤️

很荣幸这次由我、Chef Bernard 以及 Chef Alvin,一同参与由 星洲日报 与 Toshiba Malaysia 联手举办的亲子厨艺挑战赛,并以 Tazz Lab 合作伙伴身份出席,同时担任本次比赛的主要评审。

微波炉比赛指定型号- MX2-STR25SF(WH)25L 6合1蒸汽微波炉|ALL-IN-ONE多功能一体机👉六合一功能:蒸、烤、烧烤、空气炸、微波、解冻一机多用,满足多种烹饪需求。

活动详情
1.活动会提供 TOSHIBA Japandi Steam Oven 完成烹饪,发挥蒸、烤及蒸烤结合功能。
2.鸡肉需提前清洗、切割及腌制完成后带来,现场不得进行清洗或切割处理。
3.甜点材料可提前完成称量、混合、成型或发酵,并于现场进行烘焙。
4.所有摆盘用具、装饰材料、酱料、食油及厨房纸巾等,均由参赛者自行准备。
5.参赛者须在60分钟内完成两道料理:
a) 鸡肉料理
b) 甜点或创意料理
6.主办方将提供150ml MOMA矿泉水(供烹饪使用)。

活动条规
1.请勿自行点击{现在使用},必须由现场的工作人员协助操作。
2.已报名成功的出席者,需在活动现场登记时,出示身份证让工作人员核对。
3.主办方将在 10 个工作天内发电邮通知已成功报名的参赛者。
4.主办单位保留权利修改、取消或增删任何条规,恕不另行通知。
5.报名截止日期:2026年5月6日,12pm。

冬至吃汤圆的习俗
是华人社会中非常重要、也很温暖的一项传统。

✨象征团圆圆满
汤圆“圆圆满满”,代表家人团聚、关系和合、生活完整。冬至是一年中阴极转阳的关键时刻,吃汤圆寓意新的一轮好运开始。
✨古代“添岁”观念
过去有“冬至大过年”的说法。在某些地区,吃了冬至汤圆就等于长一岁,象征生命的延续与成长。
✨阴阳转换、补气养身
冬至是白天开始变长的节气,被视为“阳气初生”。吃温热的汤圆,有驱寒、养胃、补气的意义。

👉甜汤圆的甜汤用了姜红糖和斑斓叶

1️⃣ 味道层次
• 姜:辛香温热,提味又不呛
• 红糖:甜味厚、带焦香感,比白糖更有深度
• 斑斓叶:清香柔和,平衡姜的辛辣与红糖的厚甜

👉 整体是:暖而不燥、甜而不腻、香而不抢戏

2️⃣ 冬至养生角度
• 姜:驱寒、暖胃、促进循环
• 红糖:补气血、温润身体
• 斑斓叶:舒缓、清香、去“燥火感”
