Last week was a particularly busy one for our team across the Europe region.

Our medical es**rts completed back-to-back international repatriation missions, beginning with the transfer of a MVA patient from Kuala Lumpur to Barcelona. Shortly after arrival, the team proceeded directly to London for another critical care stretcher case involving a ventilated patient, whom we repatriated to Muscat via commercial airline.

It was a demanding week for everyone at our office and on the ground, but seeing patients reunited with their loved ones always makes the effort worthwhile.

A big appreciation to our medical es**rts, operations coordinators, airline partners, and healthcare teams involved throughout these missions.

Wishing both patients a smooth and speedy recovery ahead.

AMG recently coordinated the repatriation of a young, warm, cheerful patient from Thailand to Warsaw following a psychotic disorder episode during her travels in Asia.

The patient was admitted to a local hospital in Thailand without any accompanying family members and had also lost her passport during the incident.

Upon receiving the case, AMG immediately deployed our colleague from our AMG Thailand office to assess the patient’s wellbeing, coordinate with the treating hospital, and provide reassurance to the family.

Over the following days, our team worked closely with all relevant parties to arrange the necessary travel documentation and medical clearance.

The patient was subsequently repatriated safely on a commercial airline accompanied by our medical es**rt throughout the journey back to Warsaw.

We wish the patient a smooth and speedy recovery.

Not every medical evacuation requires an air ambulance. Sometimes, what matters most is having the right people behind the mission to assess the suitable mode of transfer.

Recently, our AMG team managed the evacuation of an injured vessel crew member from Kota Kinabalu to Surabaya via commercial airline stretcher arrangement.

From the very beginning, the case was handled fully by our in-house team, starting from hospital referral, daily medical monitoring, coordination with the airline, stretcher approval process, and finally the journey home.

The patient was finally reunited with his loved ones back in his hometown. Wishing the patient a smooth and speedy recovery ahead.

A mission that began in Tawau, Sabah ended in Berlin.

A young traveller, after a motorbike accident, spent weeks recovering before the question came, is he fit to go home?

That’s where we came in.

Operating out of Malaysia meant distance wasn’t a barrier. Even in a remote setting, we were able to quickly gather reliable medical insights, align with the treating doctors, and map out a safe journey.

The transfer was carried out on a commercial business class flight, supported by our medical es**rt from departure to arrival.

Wishing the patient continued recovery back home.

Quick one from the ops side.

This morning we completed a short haul medevac from Langkawi Island to Alor Setar, airborne time was just 17 minutes.

Ground transfer was actually possible, but would have taken a few hours. The client opted for air to save time, and we activated accordingly.

Aircraft used was Piaggio P.180 Avanti, ideal for short domestic sectors like this.

Quick mission, smooth coordination, patient transferred safely.

We recently had the privilege of safely repatriating an Australian patient who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while in Hong Kong.

Following a comprehensive medical evaluation and multidisciplinary discussion, it was determined that the most appropriate and clinically safe option was a commercial airline stretcher transfer, supported by a dedicated critical care team.

The entire mission covered 13 hours bed-to-bed, with continuous monitoring, advanced airway and neurological observation, and contingency planning throughout the flight.

International repatriation, especially involving neurological cases such as cerebral hemorrhage, requires precise planning and experienced medical oversight. Choosing the right team is critical, families and partners should always ensure they are working with properly credentialed, licensed, and medically governed providers with transparent operational standards and proven case experience.

In complex cross-border transfers, safety is never an area for compromise.

We are proud of our critical care team for executing another safe and successful mission.

This morning we have successfully completed an international medical transfer from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing for a patient recently diagnosed with cancer, who is seeking further treatment at one of the well-established oncology centres in Beijing.

This transfer required careful coordination across multiple teams from pre-flight medical stabilisation, pain management planning, oxygen support, airline medical clearance, to seamless handover upon arrival.

Managing comfort and safety during commercial transfer is critical in oncology cases. Ensuring appropriate analgesia, respiratory support, and continuous monitoring throughout the journey was a key focus of this mission.

Proud of the collective effort by the medical team, flight crew, and ground partners who worked together to deliver a safe, smooth, and dignified transfer for the patient.

Wishing the patient strength and the very best for the next phase of treatment.

A meaningful medevac our home ground, Malaysia 🇲🇾

We recently managed a medical repatriation involving a British national who suffered an epileptic episode while travelling solo in Malaysia. The case was further complicated when the patient lost all personal belongings, including his passport and mobile phone, and was unable to recall where they were misplaced.

Upon activation by the insurance provider, our operations team immediately coordinated all necessary arrangements. Being based in Kuala Lumpur, our home ground enabled us to respond quickly and manage the situation efficiently despite multiple logistical challenges.

The patient was safely repatriated to the United Kingdom and successfully reunited with his family.

As Malaysia welcomes travellers during Visit Malaysia Year, this case highlights the importance of having reliable local medical and operational support when emergencies occur far from home. We remain committed to ensuring continuity of care, safety, and dignity for every patient we manage.

We would like to express our special appreciation to the UK in Malaysia - British High Commission Kuala Lumpur for their quick assistance in issuing the Emergency Passport and Consular Support.

Last week, our team was in Porto, Portugal for a critical medical mission involving a cruise ship crew member who was diagnosed with a stroke while on duty.

Following careful medical coordination, assessments, and flight planning, we successfully repatriated her safely back to Manila, where she has now been reunited with her family.

This mission was a reminder of how unpredictable medical emergencies can be at sea, and how vital timely coordination, clinical judgment, and compassion are in bringing patients home safely.

A heartfelt thank you to all medical partners, ground handlers, and authorities involved for the seamless collaboration.

Proud of the team, and grateful to do work that brings people home when they need it most.

Happy New Year 2026!

We are grateful to begin the new year with a meaningful mission.

This New Year, our team successfully supported a medical repatriation from South Korea to Ho Chi Minh, reuniting a patient safely with their loved ones. There is no better way to welcome a new year than helping a family come back together when it matters most.

From medical coordination and flight arrangements to ground support at both origin and destination, every detail was carefully managed to ensure a smooth, safe, and dignified journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all partners, medical professionals, and ground teams involved for their seamless collaboration. Your dedication made this mission possible.

As we step into the year ahead, we remain committed to providing end-to-end medical evacuation and repatriation services, supporting patients and families across borders anytime, anywhere.

Here’s to a year of compassion, teamwork, and safe journeys.
