QUICK PAEDS FACTS | EP.21 GROW TALL
β FAQ
Can my child still grow taller?
β
ANSWER
Growth doesn't stop overnight.
π Most teenagers experience a growth spurt during puberty, but the timing varies from person to person.
π§ Girls typically have their fastest growth before or around the start of menstruation and may continue growing for another 1β2 years afterwards.
π¦ Boys often start their growth spurt later and may continue growing into their late teens.
π± Growth depends on:
Genetics
Nutrition
Sleep
Overall health
Timing of puberty
π‘ To support healthy growth:
Eat a balanced diet with adequate protein
Stay physically active
Get enough sleep
Attend regular health check-ups
π© Consider medical assessment if:
Growth seems significantly slower than peers
Puberty is very early or delayed
Height growth appears to have stopped unexpectedly
π§ FACT
There is no special supplement, milk, or exercise that can make a child exceed their genetic height potential. Good nutrition, sleep, and health help them reach the height they are already programmed to achieve.
