WFH Isn’t Laziness. Sometimes It’s Self-Protection.

Working from home feels very different now compared to 2020.

Back then, a lot of people were stressed, isolated, and forced into it.
Now, for many people, WFH has quietly become a way to protect their energy, focus, and mental wellbeing.

Some people work better without constant noise.
Some finally get time to think deeply.
Some just enjoy having lunch in peace without feeling socially “on” all the time.

And honestly, that doesn’t make anyone lazy.

The problem starts when people think productivity only “counts” if it looks exhausting.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is:
• work in a calmer environment
• recharge your social battery
• stop treating rest like guilt
• create a routine that actually fits your life

WFH isn’t about escaping work.
For many people, it’s about finally having the space to do it better. 🤍

What’s one thing about WFH that genuinely improved your life?

Beyond the Desk: Finding Our Flow Together 🌿✨

Ever feel like your mind is in one place, your body is in another, and your energy is... well, somewhere else entirely? 🙋‍♀️

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the "Sama-Sama Thrive" workshop for the wonderful team at Pacific Insurance. It wasn't your typical corporate training—it was a day dedicated to truly "thriving" in every sense of the word.

We explored:
- The Science of Sleep: Learning how to reclaim our vitality after the sun goes down. 😴
- Office Worker’s Rehab: Simple ways to keep our bodies happy and moving, even during a long day at the desk. 🧘‍♂️
- The Sensory Reset: Using aromatherapy and mindful eating (with a fun blindfold test!) to reconnect with ourselves. 🍊🍱

The best part? Seeing the team support one another through every activity. Because when we "thrive together" (Sama-Sama!), work feels a lot less like work and a lot more like a community.

How do you stay "balanced" during a busy week? Share your favorite tip below! 👇

Embracing the "Me Time" in Remote Work 🏠☕️

Working from home can be a bit of a double-edged sword. 🗡️ While it offers flexibility, it can also lead to burnout if we're not careful. 😓 But what if we shifted our perspective and saw remote work as an opportunity for some much-needed "me time"? ✨

In this video, I chat with Yee Wen, a psychologist, about how to navigate the challenges of working from home and make it work for you. 🧠 We discuss the importance of setting boundaries, creating a dedicated workspace, and prioritizing self-care. 🌿

Let's rethink our approach to remote work and turn it into a positive experience! 🤝

Lunch Breaks and Logic: How We’re Eating Better at Work 🥗

Let’s be real—when the 3:00 PM slump hits, it’s so easy to grab whatever is nearest (usually something sweet!). But we recently spent a day with the team at Pacific Insurance learning that "eating well" doesn’t have to mean eating boring.

We had such a blast diving into:
- The Food Group Challenge: Turns out, categorizing what’s on your plate is harder than it looks! 🍎🍳
- Food Label Reading: Deciphering what’s actually in those snack packs we love.
- The Smart Ordering Challenge: Learning how to navigate Grab and Food Panda like a pro so we feel energized, not sluggish, for the rest of the day. 📱✨

The goal wasn’t about being perfect—it was about finding balance. It was so great to see everyone laughing and learning together.

What’s your go-to "desk snack" that keeps you going? Let’s swap ideas in the comments! 👇

Healthy Eating Shouldn’t Feel Like Punishment

One thing I notice often in nutrition conversations is how quickly food becomes tied to guilt.

People assume that eating “healthy” means cutting out fast food completely. But for many people, strict restriction is exactly what leads to burnout, overeating, or feeling stuck in an unhealthy cycle.

Food is more than calories.
There’s texture, comfort, routine, social connection, and emotional satisfaction involved too.

That doesn’t mean “eat everything without limits.”
It means building a healthier relationship with food that is realistic enough to maintain long term.

Sometimes protecting your progress looks like:
• ordering mindfully instead of impulsively
• enjoying a favorite food without overdoing it
• balancing meals across the day
• letting go of the “good food vs bad food” mindset

Sustainable wellbeing usually comes from consistency, not perfection.

People do better when they feel supported, not punished.

Real Talk: Growing Through the Grind 🌱

Let’s be honest—work isn't always smooth sailing. We all hit those "I'm overwhelmed" moments, but what if we could actually use those challenges to fuel our growth?

We recently spent an incredible day with the team at Swatch Group, diving deep into what it actually looks like to build resilience. It wasn't just about "staying positive"—we got into the real stuff:

- Mapping our emotions (because naming it is the first step to taming it!) 🗺️
- Reframing our stories to see the strength in our struggles.
- Mindful eating to actually nourish our bodies during a busy day. 🍱

The best part? Seeing the team open up, share their own hurdles, and realize they aren’t alone. Resilience is a muscle, and it's much easier to train when you're doing it together.

Which part of your workday usually needs a little more "resilience" lately? Let's chat in the comments! 👇

Hydration is often underestimated in discussions about performance and wellbeing.

The human body is composed of approximately 60% water, and adequate hydration plays a critical role in maintaining physiological and cognitive function.

Water supports:
• Regulation of body temperature
• Nutrient transport and absorption
• Maintenance of blood volume and circulation

Even mild dehydration can have measurable effects on cognitive performance, including:
• Reduced concentration
• Slower processing speed
• Increased fatigue

It can also influence mood, making individuals more irritable and less resilient to everyday stressors.

A common question is whether beverages like tea can replace water. While they contribute to fluid intake, caffeine content should be considered, and plain water remains the most effective option for optimal hydration.

The takeaway:
Hydration is not just a physical health factor — it directly impacts how we think, feel, and perform.

Not all foods are “good” or “bad” — but how often you eat them matters.

✔ Daily → nourish your body
✔ Weekly → enjoy in moderation
✔ Monthly → be mindful, not mindless

It’s not about perfect eating — it’s about consistent patterns.

That’s what truly shapes your health.

Is your brain feeling “foggy” lately? 🧠💨 It might not be lack of sleep—it might be dehydration!

Did you know your body is 50-60% water? 💧 When we don’t drink enough, it’s not just our thirst that suffers. Even mild dehydration can tank your brain performance, mess with your mood, and make small stresses feel way bigger than they actually are.

Quick Tips:
✅ Water helps regulate your temp & absorb nutrients.
✅ Feeling irritable? Drink a glass of water first!
✅ Be careful with too much tea/coffee—caffeine can actually cause you to lose more water.

Stay hydrated, stay sharp! 🥤✨
