Yesterday, our little explorers from Playhouse® headed out for their second dental check-up of the year with MyDental Care Shah Alam & Cyberjaya! 🪥✨

For our EIP children, experiences like these are about more than just getting a check-up.

It’s an opportunity to practise following routines, adapting to a new environment, interacting with new people and becoming more comfortable with real-world experiences.

This is one of the things that makes our EIP more than a programme.

INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI ROJI’UN.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Allahyarhamah Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, who passed away today at the age of 100.

Our deepest condolences to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the entire family.

A respected doctor and advocate for public health and community wellbeing, her contributions will be remembered by many.

May Allah SWT forgive her, accept her good deeds, shower her with His mercy and place her among the righteous.

September 2026 Staff Training | Practical Intervention Strategies for Specific Learning Disorders 🧠

At Playhouse®, learning doesn’t stop with the children, our team continues to learn too.

This month, our staff had the opportunity to train with Dr Mahfuzah Zainol, our Clinical Advisor, focusing on practical intervention strategies for children with Specific Learning Disorders.

From understanding individual learning needs to exploring practical strategies that can be applied during intervention, every training session helps our team continue to grow in their practice.

Our little explorers are getting ready for another XSPEDition and this time, we’re heading to the dentist! 🪥

For our children, it’s another opportunity to explore, practise routines, build confidence and become more familiar with taking care of themselves.

Because learning doesn’t only happen inside the classroom or therapy room.

From an OT perspective, we don’t immediately see this as simply “tak nak makan.”

When a child touches, squishes, spreads or plays with food, we look at the bigger picture including their sensory responses, attention, sitting, coordination and ability to manage different food textures.

And sometimes, children may benefit from an OT to look more closely at their specific feeding needs.

It could be related to how they experience textures, sensations, attention, body control and participation during mealtimes.

This is where early intervention can help.

🧩 EIP
Provides opportunities throughout the day to practise broader developmental and functional skills through structured activities, routines, movement, sensory play and communication.
