Please be informed that Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH) will be closed on 5 September 2026 (Saturday).

Operations will resume on 7 September 2026 (Monday).

🚨Emergency Department:
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7) for emergency eye care.

The Gift of Sight 🤍👁️

On 31 August 2026, THONEH was honoured to attend the launch of “The Gift of Sight” Buddhist Maha Vihara, held in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the passing of the late Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda.

Our CEO, Dato’ Michael Goh, received the token of contribution on behalf of THONEH, marking a meaningful collaboration to bring the gift of sight to those in need.

The initiative includes the contribution of two corneas to THONEH and RM6,000 towards free spectacles for deserving school children.

Our heartfelt appreciation to Buddhist Maha Vihara for continuing the late Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda’s legacy of compassion and service. 🙏

Looking back on the past few weeks, Team THONEH has been on the move—bringing eye screening services to communities across Malaysia. 💙👁️

From June through early July, every screening was an opportunity to raise awareness, detect eye conditions early, and encourage healthier vision for all.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, organizers, volunteers, and everyone who participated in making these outreach programes a success. We look forward to reaching even more communities in the months ahead!
