👩‍🏫 After Diagnosis: Next Steps to Support Your Child Effectively
Receiving a diagnosis for your child — Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, or any learning difference — can bring mixed emotions.
Relief, because you finally have answers.
Worry, because you’re not sure what to do next.
But here’s the truth: 💡
A diagnosis is not the end of the road.
It’s the beginning of understanding, action, and empowerment. 🌈
🧩 Here’s how to move forward effectively:
💬 Understand the Report, Don’t Fear It
Take time to go through the results with your assessor.
Every strength and challenge highlighted in the report is a guidepost — showing how your child learns best.
🎯 Create an Individualised Learning Plan (ILP)
Based on the report, work with your child’s school to develop a plan that fits their needs.
This can include tailored teaching methods, extra time, or alternative learning tools.
🌱 Begin Intervention Early
Whether it’s reading therapy, motor coordination training, or cognitive exercises — early intervention builds confidence and skill before frustration sets in.
🤝 Communicate with Teachers
Keep the school informed. Collaboration between parents, teachers, and specialists ensures consistent progress — at home and in the classroom.
💖 Support Emotionally, Not Just Academically
Children with learning differences often feel “different.”
Remind them daily: Different doesn’t mean less.
Praise effort, celebrate progress, and build their belief in themselves.
At Sri Rafelsia, our commitment doesn’t stop at diagnosis.
We walk alongside families with:
✨ Tailored intervention programs
✨ Ongoing parent guidance
✨ Progress monitoring and follow-up assessments
Because understanding the why is only the first step —
knowing how to move forward is what truly changes your child’s future. 🌟
💬 Remember: A diagnosis doesn’t define your child — it unlocks their potential.

What’s Included in a Complete Sri Rafelsia Learning Difficulties Report
Behind every successful learning journey is one powerful tool — understanding.
And at Sri Rafelsia, that understanding begins with our comprehensive Learning Difficulties Assessment Report.
This isn’t just another document — it’s your child’s learning blueprint,
crafted to reveal how they think, process, move, and succeed best. 🌈
🧠 Here’s what’s inside our detailed report:
🔹 Background & Developmental Overview
We begin by understanding your child’s educational, emotional, and developmental history — because every learning story is unique.
🔹 Cognitive Profile Summary
Insight into how your child’s brain processes information — including attention, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving.
It helps identify whether learning differences like Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, or ADHD may be present.
🔹 Literacy & Academic Performance
A clear look at reading, spelling, writing, and comprehension skills — explained in simple terms, not technical jargon.
🔹 Motor Coordination & Fine Motor Skills (for Dyspraxia)
Assessment of balance, coordination, and handwriting ability, showing how movement impacts classroom performance.
🔹 Summary of Strengths & Areas for Support
Every child has something they do brilliantly.
We highlight those strengths alongside areas that need improvement — so you see the full picture, not just the challenges.
🔹 Practical Recommendations & Action Plan
Step-by-step guidance for parents, teachers, and therapists:
✅ Classroom strategies
✅ Home practice ideas
✅ Suggested accommodations for school (e.g., extra time, visual aids, assistive tools)
🔹 Personal Consultation Session
Once the report is ready, our specialists will walk you through every detail — helping you understand what it means and what to do next.

🧩 Early Screening for Dyslexia & Dyspraxia — Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late
“My child is still young. Maybe they’ll catch up later.”
It’s something many parents say — but sometimes, waiting can make things harder. 💔
When it comes to Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, the earlier the signs are identified, the faster your child can receive the right help — and the greater their chance to thrive in school and beyond. 🌈
🧠 Why Early Screening Matters
Detects Challenges Before They Grow
Reading, spelling, and coordination difficulties can surface as early as preschool.
Screening identifies them before frustration sets in.
Prevents Confidence Loss
When a child struggles without understanding why, self-doubt replaces curiosity.
Early intervention keeps learning positive and empowering.
Guides Teachers and Parents Early On
With a professional screening, you’ll know what strategies work best — at home, in class, and during homework.
Makes Future Learning Easier
Early support strengthens brain connections — turning reading, writing, and movement into achievable skills, not daily battles.
💬 Early detection doesn’t label your child — it liberates them.
It gives them a fair chance to learn in the way that suits them best.
At Sri Rafelsia, our Early Screening Programs are specially designed for children as young as 5 years old.
We assess foundational skills like:
✨ Phonemic awareness (sound recognition)
✨ Reading readiness
✨ Motor coordination and planning
✨ Cognitive processing
Each screening comes with clear recommendations and guidance for next steps — so parents know exactly how to support their child’s growth. 💖
🌟 Don’t wait for your child to struggle — act early, understand early, and empower early.
Because every year you wait is a year of confidence you could help them build today.

🏫 Assessments for School Accommodations in International & IB Programs
In today’s global education system, schools no longer believe in one-size-fits-all learning.
International and IB programs celebrate individuality — but to receive the right support, your child’s needs must be professionally identified and documented.
That’s where Sri Rafelsia’s Learning Assessments come in. 💡
🧠 Why These Assessments Matter
For students who struggle with reading, writing, attention, or motor coordination, a formal report from a qualified specialist is often the key to unlocking accommodations such as:
✅ Extra time during exams
✅ Use of a computer or assistive technology
✅ Reader or scribe support
✅ Modified homework load or assessment format
✅ Special consideration during international examinations (IGCSE, IB, A-Levels, etc.)
These accommodations aren’t advantages — they’re equal opportunities for students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, or other learning differences to show their true abilities. 🌈
📋 Recognised by International Schools
At Sri Rafelsia, our reports follow global assessment standards and are widely accepted by:
🏫 International, private, and IB schools across Malaysia
📚 Cambridge, Edexcel, and IB exam boards for official documentation
Each report includes:
Clear diagnosis and explanation of learning profile
Practical recommendations for teachers and learning support teams
Evidence-based justification for school accommodations
💬 Because the right assessment doesn’t just help your child today —
it ensures they have the tools and understanding they need to succeed through every stage of education.
At Sri Rafelsia, we help families bridge the gap between learning challenges and academic success — one detailed report at a time. 🌟

🔎 How Assessments Can Guide the Right Educational Support Plan
Every child learns in their own unique way —
but when learning or coordination challenges appear, knowing where to start can feel overwhelming.
That’s where a professional assessment makes all the difference.
It doesn’t just identify what’s wrong —
it guides parents and teachers toward what works best for your child. 💖
🧭 1️⃣ From Observation to Understanding
An assessment helps uncover why your child struggles —
whether it’s Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, or another learning difficulty.
Instead of guessing, you gain clarity about how your child processes information, reads, writes, and moves.
🧩 2️⃣ From Results to Action
Each report from Sri Rafelsia includes personalised recommendations —
clear, practical strategies tailored to your child’s strengths and needs.
These become the foundation for an Individualised Educational Support Plan (IESP) — your child’s personal roadmap to success.
📚 3️⃣ Collaboration Between Home & School
When parents and teachers understand a child’s learning profile, they can adjust teaching methods, classroom expectations, and homework strategies.
✅ Teachers know how to support effectively.
✅ Parents know how to reinforce learning at home.
🌈 4️⃣ Real Change in the Classroom
An accurate assessment allows for realistic accommodations, such as:
Extra time during exams
Simplified instructions
Assistive learning tools
Focused reading or motor coordination therapy
With the right plan, your child doesn’t just cope — they thrive.
At Sri Rafelsia, we believe that every report is more than data — it’s a blueprint for confidence, independence, and lifelong learning.
🧠 We help families turn understanding into action, and assessments into empowerment.
✨ Because when the plan fits the child, success follows naturally.

✅ 5 Reasons Parents Should Choose Professional Assessments, Not Guesswork
Every parent wants the best for their child. ❤️
But when learning challenges arise — slow reading, messy handwriting, poor coordination — it’s easy to wonder:
💬 “Maybe they’ll grow out of it?”
💬 “Should I wait and see?”
The truth is — guessing delays understanding.
And early professional assessment opens the door to real solutions. 🌈
Here’s why you should never leave your child’s learning to chance 👇
🧠 1️⃣ Clarity Over Confusion
An assessment provides clear answers.
You’ll finally understand why your child struggles — whether it’s Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, or another learning difficulty.
No more guessing, no more worrying in silence.
📊 2️⃣ A Personalised Roadmap for Support
Professional reports include detailed recommendations for school and home —
so you can guide your child using proven strategies, not trial and error.
🪴 3️⃣ Early Action Builds Confidence
The earlier you act, the faster your child regains confidence in learning.
Early support prevents frustration from turning into self-doubt.
💬 4️⃣ Informed Teachers, Empowered Parents
With a professional diagnosis, teachers can adapt teaching methods — and parents can advocate for the right support, accommodations, and progress plans.
🌟 5️⃣ Every Child Learns Differently — and That’s Okay
Professional assessments celebrate individuality.
They don’t label children — they liberate them from misunderstanding.
At Sri Rafelsia, our qualified specialists use internationally recognised tools to assess Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, and other learning differences —
helping families move from uncertainty to clarity, from frustration to progress.
✨ Because your child doesn’t need to “try harder.”
They just need someone to understand how they learn. 💖

🧠 IQ Test, Cognitive Test & LD Assessment — What’s the Difference?
Many parents come to us saying,
💬 “My child has done an IQ test before — do they still need a learning assessment?”
The short answer: yes — because they measure very different things. 🌈
At Sri Rafelsia, we believe understanding these differences helps you make informed choices for your child’s learning journey.
Let’s break it down 👇
⚖️ 1️⃣ IQ Test — Measures General Intelligence
An IQ test focuses on overall intellectual ability —
how well your child reasons, solves problems, and understands complex ideas.
🧩 It gives a broad “snapshot” of intellectual potential but doesn’t explain why your child might struggle with reading, writing, or coordination.
🧠 2️⃣ Cognitive Test — Looks Deeper Into Brain Processing
A Cognitive Assessment goes beyond IQ.
It explores how your child’s brain handles specific thinking skills like:
🔹 Working memory
🔹 Processing speed
🔹 Visual-spatial reasoning
🔹 Attention and concentration
💡 It helps reveal how your child learns — and which areas need support.
📚 3️⃣ Learning Difficulties (LD) Assessment — Identifies the Root Cause
An LD Assessment combines cognitive, literacy, and coordination testing to detect challenges such as:
🔹 Dyslexia (reading/spelling difficulties)
🔹 Dyspraxia (motor coordination challenges)
🔹 Dysgraphia or Dyscalculia (writing or maths-based difficulties)
✨ This is the most comprehensive evaluation — linking how your child thinks, moves, and learns.
At Sri Rafelsia, our assessments are holistic, child-centred, and solution-focused.
We don’t just test — we explain, plan, and guide you on what to do next. 💖
🌈 Because understanding the difference is the first step to making a real difference.

📊 Understanding the Full Report After a Learning Difficulties Assessment
You’ve taken the first step — your child has completed a Learning Difficulties Assessment.
Now comes the question most parents ask:
💬 “What does the report really mean?”
At Sri Rafelsia, we believe an assessment report shouldn’t confuse you —
it should empower you. 💖
Our goal is to help you see beyond the numbers, charts, and scores —
to understand your child’s unique learning profile and what it means for their growth.
🧠 Here’s what your child’s report includes:
🔹 Overview of Strengths & Challenges
Every child has unique abilities. The report highlights where your child excels — and the areas that may need extra support, whether in reading, writing, attention, or coordination.
🔹 Detailed Test Results (Cognitive & Academic Skills)
Each section explains how your child processes information, memory, language, and motor functions — not as labels, but as insights for tailored learning.
🔹 Clear, Simple Explanations
We translate technical terms into easy-to-understand language, so you know exactly what each score represents and why it matters.
🔹 Practical Recommendations
From school strategies to home activities, the report provides actionable steps you can take immediately to help your child succeed.
🔹 Personal Consultation
Our specialists will walk you through every page, answer your questions, and ensure you leave with clarity — not confusion.
💬 Because a report isn’t just paperwork — it’s a map that guides your child’s journey forward.
It helps teachers teach better, parents support smarter, and children learn with confidence.
At Sri Rafelsia, we turn assessment results into real-life solutions —
helping every child move from struggle to success. 🌟
