I had an enjoyable time performing two laparoscopic surgeries for a live audience of young surgeons from all over Indonesia. This was preceded by a lecture and a post surgery discussion and feedback session. A big thank you to my dear friend Dr for the very kind invitation and honour of being your guest. I also witnessed an MOU signing making his center the first Center of Excellence for Colorectal Surgery in Indonesia. Congratulations!

I had an interesting and engaging panel discussion on closing the gap in peri operative nutrition with my friends Frederick Koh and Kwang Yeong How during the lunch symposium of the ERAS world congress in Singapore today.

I had a valuable and insightful half-day site visit to Sengkang General Hospital, learning more about their home-grown Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programme. It was inspiring to see how a well-structured multidisciplinary approach can improve patient outcomes, perioperative experience, and overall hospital flow.

Hoping to bring back a thing or two that we can adapt and implement at Hospital PICASO as we continue striving to enhance patient care and recovery.

Big weekend for colorectal surgery in Malaysia 🇲🇾

The Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons kicks off our ASEAN-level conference this weekend, held in conjunction with our annual Coloproctology Conference.

We started on a meaningful note today with a public awareness talk organised by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia and Hospital PICASO. A well-attended session, with great engagement from the community—always encouraging to see increasing awareness on colorectal health.
