1 Position : FEA Analysis of PDC Drill Bit Design.
1 Position : CFD Analysis of PDC Drill Bit Design.

Objective Research
Objective 1: To analyse the CFD efficiency of provided PDC designs for optimal cleaning of PDC bit cutting structure & drill cuttings removal.
Objective 2: To analyse the FEM efficiency of provided PDC designs to enhance the structural part for a robust PDC drill bit body & cutting structure.

Research Question
1. What are the features hypothesised that will enhance the hydraulic efficiency & structural strength of the PDC bit?
2. What are the parameters input & range needed in order to achieve optimum CFD & FEM efficiency?
3. Which PDC drill bit design will be the best option for interbedded formation drilling?

Software and Equipment:
• Altair Simlab for CFD simulations.
• Altair HyperMesh for FEM simulations.
