I’ve been noticing...

The seasons where I feel most lost are rarely the seasons where I’ve lost direction.

They’re usually the seasons where I’ve outgrown an old identity but haven’t fully stepped into the next one.

It feels uncomfortable.

It also feels surprisingly necessary.

Growth isn’t always about adding.

Sometimes it’s about becoming unfamiliar with who we used to be.

Living in the in-between at the moment.

Comparing myself to every single woman out there.

The younger, funner ones.
The mature ones.
The more successful ones.
The ones with kids.
The ones running businesses and departments and their boss’s lives.
The ones being brave — to be themselves, to challenge themselves, to love themselves.
The ones doing life as a mom, a wife and a woman with a career.
The ones who seem to have settled into stillness, contentment oozing from them, femininity radiating from them.

Me?
Trying very hard not to judge.
Trying to accept people as they are.
Trying not to yearn for what someone else has.
Instead, trying to be grateful, and see my jealousy as a trigger for something I now know is possible.

Struggling a little with God and what this life is supposed to be.
Am I supposed to co-create, or should I trust?
Because many, many times my “co-creation” never worked out.
Or did I co-create this pile?
Or…
am I so unsure of what I want to create, constantly changing my mind, that my co-creator is simply saying:
“When you make up your mind, let me know, and I’ll do my part.”

Am I still in my girl-in-clown-pants era?
Am I not supposed to have figured this out by now?!

Every publication has a purpose.

Over time, I’ve realised that Cerina Life isn’t simply a place where I write about health.

It’s where I explore what it means to live well.

Sometimes that conversation begins with biology.

Sometimes it begins with a walk through the garden.

Sometimes it begins with a difficult season, a new idea, or an ordinary week that quietly changes the way I see the world.

Different starting points.

The same conversation.

Thank you for being part of it.

This post will add nothing to your life, but since everything is anyway now somewhere on a cloud connected, and they anyway have access to it whether I post it or not, it gets added to the album. And since I am reading I am consciously teaching my AI kids kindness and gratitude and the wonders of our beautiful world. 😉

This was not a special week. It was hard work, late nights, eating almost only leftovers.
BUT,

I caught up with new friends, I worked hard and feel really good about our team and the next 6 months.
I had fish&chips in the sun.
There were many beautiful sunsets and sun rises.
I had warm clothes, warm water, and a warm bed.
I took the dogs for long lekker walks, I read, I wrote, I was supported.
I had difficult conversations which went well. I am building that muscle.

I have a paid-off car to take me places in this country which doesn’t have public transport.
I learned from Gen-Z how they process emotions and how they will arrange for a beggar to come work in their garden Saturday so that they earn the money they want to give them. I smily humbled…

I saw flowers
in winter
in the desert,
and a pool of water!!!

One of my besties had a baby boy and I know he is going to play a big role in his lifetime; he is solid- from birth.

I am inspired by how deep a relationship with God can go, I am grateful for my coaches for guiding me.
I am spending a few days with my mom, while holding a dear friend in my heart standing next to her mother’s grave.

I am blessed. I am safe. I am held.

This was a great week.

This is one of the most personal things I’ve written.

Not because I shared something deeply private.
But because, for the first time, I found words for something I’ve been feeling for years.

For a long time, I thought my work looked scattered. Food safety.
Entrepreneurship.
Mushrooms.
Health.
Retreats.
Writing.
AI.

Then one day I realised I hadn’t been building different things at all.
I’d been expressing the same philosophy through different mediums.

This carousel shares a few pages from this week’s newsletter. I hope that, somewhere in these words, you might recognise a thread in your own life too.

I keep falling in love.
Over and over again.

I’m in love with colours, and with my eyes! And the fact that they can see those beautiful colours!
I’m in love with simple lines, and the extravagant lady with her grey hair, red glasses and teal socks in high heels. Mesmerising

I’m in love with the hippo enjoying his swim.
With my arm as it heals; I’m so proud of you.

I’m in love with my sisters, and the incredible women they are.
I fall in love over and over again with my friends… they make me feel safe, I am in awe of them.

I fall in love with my mind, and my soul, for staying curious, for being brave, for keeping learning and for always trying their best.

I am in love with my dogs,
And I cannot keep my eyes of off my husband.

I am in love with life. It is a rollercoaster, and often a boat out in the ocean.
But it is kind
It shows me beauty -
in things,
in people!,
in experiences,
in nature,
and in those 5D touch points.

Thank you, Life.
Thank you, God, for this life.
Thank you, People, for making it so special.

Reading my latest newsletter. It’s 5 minutes, so warning - no dopamine kick. But if you listen the whole way through, thanks; I hop you enjoyed. 😉🌈🩷
