Comes Full Circle: Celebrating Three Years of Awareness, Courage, and Support
This October, the Cancer Association of Namibia (WO30) brings its locally themed campaign to a close, continuing its commitment to breast cancer awareness, early detection, and access to breast cancer services in Namibia.
At the heart of the campaign is the Namibia Breast Clinic Programme, a partnership between the Cancer Association of Namibia and the Ministry of Health and Social Services-Namibia, established to strengthen access to breast cancer diagnostic services for women across the country.
The journey began in 2024 at the annual SanlamAllianz Namibia Hats and Roses Women’s Morning, with celebrated South African artist PJ Powers Thandeka as guest artist. The campaign invited women to embrace their African identity, heritage, and culture while opening important conversations about breast cancer and how the disease affects women, families, and communities, including the significance of family and genetic history. Over the past three years, has brought together inspiring women, health professionals, survivors, advocates, and voices from across Namibia and beyond. This year, the campaign also takes a moment to remember several remarkable speakers who shared their personal stories and experiences with audiences during the campaign and who have since passed away peacefully.
Their journeys remind us of an important truth: not every cancer journey ends in the way we hope it will. Yet every journey matters. Everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and support, from diagnosis and treatment to the very end.
As comes full circle, the Cancer Association of Namibia celebrates not only survival, but courage, resilience, remembrance, and the power of human connection.
Closing this three-year chapter will be internationally recognised and award-winning South African artist Zolani Mahola (formerly of Freshly Ground), together with Feminine Force, who will join us as guest artists for this year’s Hats and Roses Women’s Morning on Saturday, 3 October 2026.
Guests can look forward to an inspirational morning of intimate conversations, meaningful engagement, motivation, music, and upliftment, bringing together women and supporters in an atmosphere of reflection, celebration, and hope.
Once again, SanlamAllianz is supporting the event with a generous contribution of N$100 000, with additional partners providing logistical and technical support to make the morning possible. Tickets include a sparkling w**e and buffet breakfast, lucky draws, and prizes.
