IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO CONFRONT THE REALITIES OF NURSING, PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION TO PURSUE THIS PROFESSION. A Must Read….

Many individuals perceive nursing as a profession that encompasses a uniform, a sense of pride, a professional title, and a polished appearance.

However, nursing will inevitably confront you with harsh realities that may challenge your emotional preparedness.

Few people acknowledge that:
You will witness a patient’s gradual decline and still be required to maintain your professional composure.
You will provide emotional support to families during difficult times, despite your own emotional turmoil.
You will encounter pain and suffering that transcends the scope of your academic preparation.
You will care for individuals who are experiencing anger, fear, confusion, or helplessness, and yet, you will still provide compassionate care.
You will wipe away tears that are not your own.
You will offer silent prayers for patients you may never encounter again.
You will return home emotionally exhausted, only to report to work the following day with renewed dedication.

Nursing encompasses more than mere “care.” It demands spiritual resilience, compassion in the face of adversity, and emotional maturity that cannot be feigned.

You will confront:
Death
Trauma
Fear
Individuals at their most vulnerable
Families in crisis
Situations that are beyond your control, except through prayer.

If you are not prepared to shoulder the emotional burden of others while masking your own pain.
If you are not prepared to demonstrate strength in the face of adversity, when those around you are struggling to cope…
If you are not prepared to stand for extended periods with unshed tears, yet still choose to exhibit compassion…

Then nursing may prove to be a profession that challenges you to your limits before it helps you grow.

This profession will test your spiritual resolve more than your technical skills.

Because healing is not solely physical; it is also a profoundly spiritual endeavor.

Some individuals pursue nursing as a means to obtain certification.

However, those who thrive in this field are drawn to it by a deeper sense of purpose, rather than mere qualification.

If you are not prepared to confront the pain, the losses, the fears, and the final moments of others, not merely their symptoms…
then you are not prepared for the demands of nursing.

Because nursing will transform you from within, long before it has a profound impact on your career.

Low blood pressure can be a real joke, causing dizziness, weakness, fatigue, and even fainting if you don't take it seriously. When your blood pressure drops, your brain and other vital organs may not receive enough oxygen and nutrients, leading to a range of symptoms that can significantly impact your daily life. If left untreated, low blood pressure can lead to more severe complications, such as organ failure, so it's essential to seek medical attention if you're experiencing persistent or severe symptoms.

Not all health issues are attributed to malaria and typhoid.
When was the last time you underwent deworming?
If you have not dewormed in the last six months, it is recommended that you do so to prevent intestinal worms from causing serious complications such as intestinal obstruction and severe anaemia.
Common symptoms associated with intestinal worms include: abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting, gas and bloating, redness or rash on the buttocks, fatigue, frequent urination, weight loss, tiredness, weakness, or hunger due to worm infestation, abdominal pain or tenderness, dehydration, and blood in the stool.

MOVE WITH PURPOSE OR BE MOVED BY PRESSURE

If you don’t live by purpose, pressure will push you around.

The world will dictate your direction if you don't let God define it.

Anchor your heart. Align your steps. Purpose gives peace, pressure brings confusion.
