Don't just marry even "some"believers are going through pain
1. When you marry someone who truly loves God
When a person fears and loves God, certain values guide their behavior:
They are more likely to respect their partner.
They are willing to apologize and change when they are wrong.
They understand that marriage is a covenant before God, not just a relationship.
They try to practice patience, forgiveness, and self-control.
This does not mean believers never have problems, but their conscience and faith help them correct themselves.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 14:1 that “a wise woman builds her house.” Wisdom often grows from reverence for God.
2. When someone carries unresolved anger
Many people grow up watching unhealthy marriages:
A father mistreating the mother
Constant shouting, insults, or violence
Lack of respect in the home
If a person never heals from that experience, the anger stays inside them. Later in marriage they may:
Repeat the same behavior they saw growing up
Believe suffering is normal in marriage
Justify bad treatment by saying “my mother endured it.”
But pain should not be inherited.
3. The danger of repeating generational patterns
Some people unconsciously continue what they saw at home:
Control
Emotional abuse
Anger
Disrespect toward women or men
Without self-reflection, counseling, or spiritual growth, these patterns can move from one generation to another.
4. Why “fear of God” matters
When someone truly fears God:
They know how they treat their spouse matters to God.
They understand that love should not bring suffering.
They try to break toxic family patterns instead of repeating them.
For example, in Ephesians 5:25, husbands are instructed to love their wives sacrificially, not dominate or hurt them.
5. The deeper message in what I wrote
Character matters more than attraction.
Healing from childhood trauma is important before marriage.
Godly values protect relationships.
So the message “Make una fear God” is really saying:
👉 Let people allow God to shape their hearts, so they do not pass pain to the next person.
