You will notice how your thoughts veer off so easily. Like, one moment you are yourself

… and the next moment, you are wondering, uh-uh,
what was I thinking about for the last one hour?

Yes, your thoughts can veer off easily, especially if you are currently strv ggling with an addiction, or if you have previously strv ggled with an addiction, or when you just randomly scroll through social media.

So, it was at this point the Holy Spirit started to teach me HOW one can gain authority over these thoughts.

You can't just wake up in the morning, and the first thing you did, you pick up your phone, you are scrolling randomly through social media.

Even in the afternoons, you get lost, you are scrolling randomly through social media, and that's why you are questioning, you are wondering, why am I having wandering thoughts?

It starts with controlling. Put discipline over yourself first. Put discipline in your life. Restrict yourself. Those moments when you remember “why am I scrolling randomly”, end it immediately.

Then also, as you do this, the Holy Spirit begins to transform your mind. He begins to give you personal instructions on how to guide your life. If you must ever overcome any bad habits, any addictions, you must know what I just said.

You grew up in an abv si ve (especially s* xual, verbal) environment, my dear you need immediate help.

Some lust /negative addictions/ lifestyle issues hide and reveal themselves majorly in marriage. By then it might be too late. Seek counsel. Seek help. There is no sh*me in seeking for help.
