Some People Enter Marriage With the Wrong Expectations.

A lot of people walk into marriage with beautiful dreams, but sometimes, those dreams are not balanced with reality.

They expect:

* Constant romance every single day
* A perfect spouse with no flaws
* Zero disagreements or misunderstandings
* Immediate, nonstop happiness

But marriage doesn’t work like a movie scene that never pauses.

The truth is, reality often looks different from expectations, and when that gap is too wide, disappointment quietly sets in.

Go into marriage with love, yes, but also with understanding. Learn to expect growth, not perfection; teamwork, not fantasy; and commitment that stands strong even when emotions are not always high.

A lot of people focus on looks, vibes, or even how “sweet” someone is at the beginning, but there’s something deeper that quietly determines how far a relationship will go.

Physical attraction might start the relationship, but shared spiritual values are what sustain it when life gets real.

Because after the honeymoon phase, what keeps two people aligned isn’t just love, it’s direction.

So before you fully commit, ask yourself:

* Does this person genuinely love God, or just talk about it?
* Do their actions reflect what they believe?
* Can we actually grow spiritually in the same direction?

Because when two people are moving in completely different spiritual directions, it doesn’t take long before misunderstanding, tension, and conflict start to show up.

Don’t just look for someone you can “date.” Look for someone you can grow with spiritually. Compatibility is good, but spiritual alignment is what gives relationships long-term stability.

Your Delay Is Not Your Denial.

Sometimes life doesn’t move according to our timetable.

A delay can be frustrating, but it doesn’t mean your dream is dead.

Many great testimonies arrived after long periods of waiting.

Don’t spend your waiting season complaining. Use it to prepare, grow, learn, and stay faithful. When the opportunity finally comes, your preparation will help you maximize it.

I pray that God strengthens you for every challenge before you today. Where others see obstacles, may you find opportunities. Where others expect failure, may you experience success.

May your strength not fail in Jesus Name, Amen.
