The streets still echo with unfinished dreams,
Voices silenced beneath sorrow’s screams.
Mothers cry where laughter once stayed,
Candles burn where children played.
Innocent souls with no war to fight,
Taken away in the middle of night.
No crime committed, no hatred shown,
Yet graves are filled with names unknown.
The sky grows heavy with every tear,
A world pretending not to hear.
While broken hearts search for peace,
Praying one day the violence will cease.
Who will speak for the blood on the ground?
For the missing smiles never found?
For fathers, daughters, brothers, and friends,
Whose stories were cut before their ends.
Still, through the darkness, hope remains,
Like flowers rising after rains.
For every innocent life destroyed,
Humanity leaves another void.
May justice rise, may love survive,
May kindness keep the weak alive.
And may the world someday finally see,
That every lost soul was humanity.
