To the person carrying more than they talk about...I hope you know that struggling doesn't make you weak.

Being overwhelmed doesn't make you incapable. Needing a break doesn't make you lazy. And asking for help doesn't make you a burden.

Sometimes life asks too much of us all at once.

Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is admit they're tired.

To the fathers who are tired but still show up.

Nobody asks if you're okay.

They ask if the bills are paid. If you're "handling it."

Nobody asks what's underneath the silence you carry. The pressure of being everyone's strength when you have nowhere to put down your own weight.

You are allowed to be tired.

You are allowed to not have all the answers.

You are allowed to need someone to ask how you're really doing, not just what you're providing.

Being a good father doesn't mean you never struggle.

It means you keep showing up anyway. Even exhausted. Even unsure. Even when nobody sees how much it costs you.

That is not weakness.

That is love in its quietest, strongest form.
