MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)

Date: 4TH JUNE 2026

TOPIC: WHY THE WAR AGAINST THE FAMILY LIFE?
⚓Scripture: Malachi 2: 15. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Yesterday, we established that there is war, a serious battle going on against the family life. Today we seek to know the reason why there's constant war against the family life.

*Why the war against Christian families?*
As the saying goes, there's no smoke without fire! The smokes you are seeing as quarreling, fighting etc are orchestrated by the fire from kingdom of darkness for the following reasons:
I. To ensure families are not together to raise godly seeds and as such throw the society into turmoil(Mal.2:16): One of the reason for war against family life is because Satan does not want a home where peace, love and unity and where the presence of God reigns, because that is the best environment where godly seeds are raised. Satan feel threatened to see a family living in peace and harmony! The ideal environment of love and peace in the family is the greatest regret of the devil! That's why he does not want to see two dedicated Christian come together in marriage. The devil will fight tooth and nail to ensure such marriage never works. And if possibly the marriage works, the devil kept on attacking the families, manipulating the minds of the people involved! The devil knows that godly seed /godly children will influence the society positively and that is too dangerous for his kingdom, so he has to declare war on every families where they kept the testimony of Jesus (Rev.12:17).

Beloved, all the fight you may have fought or will ever fight is for this singular purpose just to ensure godly children that will make the society a better place never come out of your union. So, a little misunderstanding can be amplified out of proportion! This is why couples must have knowledge especially spiritual intelligence- the knowledge of spiritual operations, for couple who lack this knowledge becomes prey to the devil's schemes and in the long run, ruin their marriage. All the "I no gree syndrome" is meant to dissolve your family life. And when family life fails it turns out to be the failure on the society.

II. To ensure families are stop from shooting arrows that will bring down the kingdom of darkness (PS.127:4); The devil is comfortable to see two people of different kingdom getting married than when two people of God's kingdom coming together in marriage just because of the seed, they will eventually produce. This is why I often tell young couples to begin their marital relationship with prayer. If you can begin with prayer, most of this minor issue will be trashed. The devil is aware that children(seeds) are arrows but who shoot (fired) them out matters alot.

The street touts, the armed robbers, the pr******tes, the kidnappers are few examples of misfired arrows from the family life to the society. A healthy marriage is a breeding ground for destiny formation! A healthy homes is where norms, values and ethics are inculcated. The Bible said:
*Psalm 127: 4. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth* .

What do you do to arrows? You sent them out of course! The arrow that will deliver results must be well targeted and directed. So also are children! Who fired the arrows matters alot because if you are not well trained, you will waste the arrows God has given to you as children! There are several wasted arrows (children) in our society today. If an arrow must delivered, it must be well co-ordinated. Your children are your arrows and as such you must invest into them by prayer, education, moral impartation, inculcate into them ethics, societal norms and value system. So if there is no proper parenting, who will be responsible for all the investment Spiritually and physically,? I bet you what you will end up having is a misdirected arrows as seen in so many broken homes.

So, the street miscreants was an arrow that was misfired into the society. The scammer, pr******te are few examples of misfired arrow in our society! So the family life that is meant to serve the purpose of preparing and releasing (firing) the arrows into our world is not healthy because of the attack on her. There are several families that are victims of demonic arrows from the pit of hell, while the husband and wife are busy shading shadow the enemy is busy tearing down and tearing apart their family. Understand today that every attack against your family life is because of the children that will be raised in that family. This is why the attack on marriages/family life is heavy.

Beloved, is your marriage under attack? Or probably you are not married yet and the devil is saying you will never married! That is a lie of the devil, say no to that satanic lies. Perhaps what the devil is telling you is go and get baby out of wedlock without no husband or father figure? Please don't do it. You are a child of God, if the devil has slowed down your marital journey please don't take short cut! Rather wait upon the Lord and He will fix you up. Understand that, the journey into a blissful family life is lace with battle, Cheer up and get ready to win the battle, if you are born of God then you have all that it takes to win the battle. if Jesus is with you and you collaborate with the Holy Spirit, the battle is a done deal. Don't give up yet! God is coming for you.

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE WAR AGAINST THE FAMILY LIFE.
⚓Scripture: Revelation 12: 17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In our introduction yesterday, we established that the family is the building block unit that made up the society. Failure in the family equals failure in society. Hence, the health of the family life matters a lot! It takes a healthy family life to experience certain dimensions of open doors. It is however worthy of note that many families are unhealthy, they are sick spiritually, psychologically and that has translated into several problems. The problems are all traceable to the spiritual attack on family life! The attack is more serious when the couples are Christian but ignorant! The ignorance of the battle against families have led many of them helpless in the face of the war that bedevil them every day. Some have called for several family meetings again and again, some church committee have tried frantically to resolve battles/issues arising from family life with little or no positive outcome. Today we shall be looking at the nature of the battle against family life and then develop a battle strategy.

*What is the nature of war confronting the family life?*
The Bible made us to understand that there is war against every families on earth (Rev.12:17)! The war is more severe with those who are called Christian! And the nature of this war is spiritual. It is not a physical war that is fought with carnal instruments such as gun and machetes but spiritual. Although, we could see the physical evidence that sometimes manifest as verbal abuse, assault and physical fight but behind the several quarrel and fighting going on in several homes is a spirit entity! It supervised every quarrel and fighting in various homes. Understand today, that which may have begun as a minor misunderstanding can crash a marriage and ruin the destiny of offsprings of that marriage. We must therefore sustain the spiritual intelligence that life is spiritual therefore the nature of the war against family life is also spiritual. Our battle plan should therefore be spirit engaging spirits.

Please understand that the moment you surrender your life to Jesus, the battle lines have been drawn. Whether you are aware of it or not is immaterial! The battle lines has been drawn! It is a battle of light against darkness! While you are in the kingdom of light waring against kingdom of darkness. It is quite unfortunate that many believers are not aware! For the Bible said:
*Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.*

Beloved, don't allow the devil lure you into hating the one you once profess love to! Don't join the group of those that propose every thing has expiring date including the love for their spouse! If you are a Christian understand that there is war, there's battle going on against the family life and God want to use you as a weapon in this battle. The Bible said;
*Jeremiah 51: 20. Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;*

Please observed the clause thou art my battle axe! send a strong signal that there's battle! To exist without battle consciousness and battle ready is to be a casualty in the midst of battle. Many Christian are unaware that there's battle going on every day against them! This is the same battle that is extended to family life.

*What kind of battle goes on in family life?*
A. Battle for control : The devil wants to be the controller of family life, so he aligned with any member of the family who willingly agreed to cooperate with him and begin to control the family indirectly
B. Battle for the souls of men: Who control the souls of men in a given family matters a lot! Including all the souls that are born in that family.
C. The battle for supremacy: This is the battle that makes men query every word of God. Permit me to ask you; Is the word of God the umpire of your life and family? If query the authority of the scriptures then the word is not yet the umpire of your life and family because there's a battle to decide who is supreme in your life and family.

Beloved, every Christian home goes through various degrees of battle. Ability to recognize the finger of the enemy behind the battles will help in no small way! Do you know that for every quarrel and fighting that occurred every day in various homes, demons supervise it? This explains why the Bible said:
*Ephesians 4: 26. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27. Neither give place to the devil.*

So, demons are always around wanting you to quarrel and fight especially when you are angry, you sent invitations to demons. So, If your mind is not renewed with the word of God, quarreling will happen on a consistent basis even though you are born again. And what started as love will turn out to be hate because of offence leading to bitterness and then your home and family become a battle field. That shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

Some battles are before the marriage commence just for you to call it a quit even when God has spoken concerning the individual. Imagine, a young innocent girl that is due for marriage, anyone that propose to her is in trouble! It is either a personality warn the intending suitor to stay off or the suitor financial life start crumbling until he said "since I know this girl things have turned sour for me. So I better leave her alone". In some cases the young man will start having problem in his place of work even to the point of being sack etc. These are few examples of cases showing the reality of battles against the family life.

TOPIC: INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHY FAMILY LIFE AS KEY TO OPEN DOORS
⚓SCRIPTURE: Ecclesiastes 4: 9. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We give praise and thanks to God Almighty for sending us His word on the matter of Walking in Love, all through the month of May. I want to officially welcome you to the month of June, our month of open door in family life.

Beloved, God desire us to experience open doors in every aspect of our lives! Hence, we begin the year with prayer as key to open doors and then the second month the man that will experience open doors, the third month was the identity of the man that will experience open doors. The fourth month is the story and miracles of redemption and the fifth month love /walking in love as key to open doors. And as we move into the sixth month the Holy Ghost place a burden of family life.

*Why family life?*
The family life is the foundation of every great destiny where lives are molded first, before being released into the society. All we will ever becomes in life and destiny begins in a home that is an integral part of family. The army generals, the presidents, captains of industry, the politicians, the salior, pilots, judges etc were at one time or the other a tiny baby born into a family. That child grow up in a home before becoming anything in the society and a home is made up of family! In African you will hear how is the family as we exchange pleasantries. A family comprises of father, mother and children. The family is where the basic foundation where every other aspects of our lives are built. The norms, value and ethics are first inculcated in the family hence the family is the oldest institutions in the world where father and mother are the first teacher.

It is disheartening that this great institution is collapsing as there are no more teachers to train, mold and build the beautiful destinies that God has committed to our trust. It is either father and mother gets too busy or living a separated life. Just imagine a classroom where there is no teacher! Certainly the children will not be well taught. In many families the primary duties of parenting is left in the hands of house maids, the church and school teacher because both parents are just too busy with their careers. Of course the school and the church can only do little because the bulk time is spent at home. The outcomes is what is trailing us in the society today.

When you look at our secondary Schools, most have been overrun with cultism. Our high ways are no longer safe. Children pregnancy every where kidnapping, r**e etc points out to one fact, failure in the family life. The family life which comprises of marriage and parenting that made a blessed home is under attack and the consequences is reflected on the society as seen in all the abnormal way people behaves every day. The family being the oldest institution where destinies are being molded has failed. Like the great story teller-Chinua Achebe said "things fall apart," the center can not hold! Things fall apart, the falcons cannot hear the falconer! Things fall apart mere anarchy is looses upon the world."

The center that can no longer hold is family life. That's where society are built. Failure in the home equals pain and every form of confusion in the society! But what did the Bible said;
*Malachi 2: 15. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.*

So God institute the family to raise a godly seed that will influence the society positively. The family wasn't meant for war, rather for peace that is why the Bible said:
*Ecclesiastes 4: 9. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.*

Beloved when you're married, your life should be better! You are expected to dominate over the forces you can not handle alone being single. Your homes ought to be a blessed place where great destinies are prepared and release to our world.

However, our emphasis is Christian home! A Christian home contributes to a good mental, emotional and physical welfare. Such homes are free from the undue strife, tension, hate, competition and pressures that can and destroy good health. A Christian home is composed of people who follow the way of the Lord and learn how to cope with whatever life brings with instructions from the Bible. There is always the source of hope, comfort, assurance of ultimate victory and providence of God. Happy homes produce happy people. The home ought to be a haven in the midst of the storm of life; an isle of refuge. In the home one should expect help, encouragement, advice and consolation prices
from those who love you most. A Christian home is a relationship that is the nearest to heaven this world can affords. It shouldn't be a place for war and battles all the time

Therefore, join us as we journey through the Bible as we examine the theme A HEALTHY FAMILY LIFE IS KEY TO OPEN DOORS, all through the month of June! There are certain doors that will not open until our family life is healthy, it is my earnest prayer that the Lord will shed light on those areas in the name of Jesus, so fasten your seatbelt and come along with me daily on this platform Moment of Daily Encounter.

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)

TOPIC : GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
⚓Scripture :Psalm 79:13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

Beloved, welcome to another Moment of Daily Encounter and welcome to the month of June, the sixth month of the year! We give thanks and praise to God Almighty who has made it possible for us to see the end of past five months of the year! We also give thanks to God for sending us His word that guarantees testimonies since the year began. As our custom is on Moment of Daily Encounter (MODE), the first day of the month is usually set aside for thanksgiving. Hence we shall be considering the topic Give thanks to the LORD!!

From our anchor scripture, the Bible said:
*Psalm 79:13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.*

Observe from the above scripture that we the sheep of His pasture! Referring to those who have submitted themselves to be a sheep under the great Shepherd-Jesus Christ, those who have made Him their Adonai, master, sovereign controller, the Lord of their lives. They are the ones who have decided to give thanks! And I'm sure, you are one of them. The Bible said it is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD(Ps.92:1)! To give thanks unto the LORD is one thing you can do again and again and you will never miss it in life. You can pray amiss but can not thank amiss!. Yes! You can do thanksgiving every day and it will never be too much. If that is true then join us to give thanks unto the LORD for successful completion of the first five months of the year. However, an understanding of who is this Lord that we are giving thanks to is very important. Let's quickly describe who is Lord that we are giving thanks to.

*Who is this Lord that we are giving thanks to?*
The Lord means our master, our sovereign owner, our maker! The Almighty God. For the Bible said:
*Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.* .

*What then is thanksgiving?*
It is an expression of an attitude of gratitude to God for whom He is, what He has done and what He will yet do.

We must understand that this Lord has several names that describe His personality. Some of His name are:
I. Jehovah El-Shaddai(Gen.17:1): The El-Shaddai means the Almighty God, the mighty breasted one, the one with a breast milk that is sufficient for every one to suck. The entire human race can suck from this breast, yet it is inexhaustible! Don't you think this God deserves our thanks?

II. Jehovah Jireh(Gen.22:14): Jireh means the great provider! Since the beginning of the year till now, so many lost their lives, some lost their jobs while others lost their businesses! Yet God has been providing for His children! God has been sustaining His children! And as such He deserves our thanks!

III. Jehovah El-Roi(Gen.16:13): The Lord that sees me! He is seeing despite what you are going through.

Some one will ask me, pastor why should I give thanks unto God,? What I'm I thanking God for? Well, we are thanking God:
A. Because it is a command for us to praise and give thanks :
*Psalm 150: 6. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.*
As long as you are still breathing this command is for you, to praise God continually

B. For the gift of life :
*Isaiah 38: 18. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. 19. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.*
Those who have gone into the grave cannot praise God, So now that you have the opportunity to praise God, do it now because He deserves your thanks.

C. For the miracle of sleeping and waking up :
*Psalm 3: 5. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.*
So many people don't know that sleeping and waking up every day is a miracle! Some went to bed and never wake up but that you could sleep alone is a miracle, then waking up is another miracle! So God deserves your thanks.

D. Because thanksgiving has a multiplier effect (Jn. 6:5-13): Jesus gave thanks for five loaves of bread and two fishes and it multiply to feed five thousand! So as you give thanks for whatever is remaining in your life now, expect a multiplication! That little seeds in your hands will not die if you can thank God for it. Are you trusting God for baby, thank God because you still have a womb that can carry baby or has your womb be remove thank God you are still alive by all means, there's something for you to thank God for.

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real, the choice we made now determined where we shall spend eternity. Give your heart to Jesus today!
*Prayer points:*
~ Father thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I receive grace to thank you again and again for your mercy over my life so far accept my thanks in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
~ May mercy and grace be your companion this month in the name of Jesus.
~ You will not be victim of evil circumstances in this new month in the name of Jesus.

*Assignment:* Bring out a quality time just to thank God in your private homes today.

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)

TOPIC : THE BLESSINGS OF WALKING IN LOVE (PART 2)
⚓Scripture : Proverbs 18: 21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Today is the last day of the month and we are rounding up on the theme of the month which is love the key to open doors. Yesterday we started exploring the blessings of walking in love! We are sure God wouldn't ask us to walk in love if there's no profits/blessings in it. We have discovered walking in love provide us a life that is offence free. And when we begin to live an offence free life we enjoy the benefits of unending joy which is the secret of our strength as well as it guarantees sound health. Today we shall round up by exploring more on the blessings of walking in love.

*What are the blessings of saying no to offences and yes to love?*
I. Unending joy which is the source of our strength.
II. Sound health ( for details of this, check yesterday's meditation).

III. Long life (Ps. 34:12-13): Walking in love helps you to live long as it helps you to use your tongue right. Many believers don't know that the length of life is tied to the use of the tongue! The Bible said:
*James 3: 6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.*

Observe the clause "the tongue is a fire" meaning your tongue can set your life on fire! Besides, the wrong use of our tongues can bring defilement. Can you imagine your life being defiled by what you say with your mouth! More importantly is that how long you live is a function of the correct use of your tongue because the Bible said:
*Proverbs 18: 21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.*

And it is quite unfortunate that so many have used their tongues roughly because they are offended! They use their tongues to dig their early grave!

Beloved When you are offended, that is not the time you should spew out the venom on your tongue. But sometimes that is what we do delibrately just to lunch an attack on the one whom we feel has offended us without knowing we are injuring our own future indirectly. In a bit to say, "let me give him a piece of my mind" we release the poison of our tongues that keeps people restless. The Bible said:
*James 3: 8. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.*

Beloved do you really desire long life then choose to walk in love. The Bible said:
*Psalm 34: 12. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.*

Beloved, walk in love and shun offences that breed anger and unnecessary quarrel, you will be surprised you will live a healthier and longer life.

IV. Favour (1Sam. 25:5-41): Any man/woman who choose to live an offences free life has chosen to walk in love. Such person will certainly enjoy favour all the days of his/her life. But those who live with offences are denied of favour. A classical example is Abigail! She walk in love towards David and that made her to obtain favour for second marriage immediately after the death of her first husband.

Beloved, don't lose your cool because of offences, your destiny helper might just be around to see how you will manage that situation that is causing you to be angry. Choose to walk in love and be a peace maker, favour will certainly smile your way.

V. Walking in love keeps the devil at a distance: Just like ants is attracted to sugar, so also, an offended heart attracts demons. When a man refuses to walk in love, he/she is creating enabling environment for demons to settle. Refusal to walk in love is a decision to retain offence and offence retained will result in bitterness which is a breeding ground for demons. To walk in love therefore is to keep the devil at a distance as it is looking for where to settle down.
*Matthew 12: 43. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.*

In summary, love is the key to open doors of so many things in life, including, anointing, favour, faith etc and how long or short your life turns out depends on your decision to walk in love and shun offences.

*Remember this :* Heaven is real and hell is real! Those who intend spending eternity with God must begin now. Give your heart to Christ today.
*Prayer points :*
~ Father thank you for your word to me today.
~ Lord help me to use my tongue correctly in Jesus name
*Prophetic Declaration :*
~ I prophesy healing to every sick heart, sick tongue and sick body right now in Jesus name.
~ I prophesy your lost favour has just been restored in the name of Jesus.

*Assignment:* Determine to use your tongue correctly even when you are provoked.
