Something beautiful happened in Airdrie today. 🤍

It was an absolute joy to attend the AfroCaribbean Canada Pageant Caribbean Canada Pageants Inc. at Bert Church Live Theatre.

I was truly impressed by the confidence, eloquence, and purpose displayed by each of the delegates, some of whom travelled from Saskatoon, Toronto, Winnipeg, and beyond to be a part of this remarkable event. Listening to their speeches and thoughtful responses, it was clear that this event was about so much more than a crown. It was about leadership, culture, service, and inspiring the next generation.

Every single delegate is a winner in my book. Congratulations to each of you for stepping onto that stage with courage and grace.

Hello Airdrie! 🤍 How was your week? It was another meaningful week of service, learning, and community for me!

This week included the Community Infrastructure & Strategic Growth Committee meeting, where we advanced recommendations for new Accessible & Inclusive Playgrounds and Urban Forest policies to support Airdrie's continued growth. I also dedicated time to professional development and serving clients through my law practice.

Today, I was honoured to attend the inaugural AfroCaribbean Canada Pageants Speech Night & Cocktail Reception, celebrating leadership, culture, and the empowerment of women through the vision of Airdrie's own Sydonne Warren.

This weekend, I encourage you to check out the AfroCaribbean Canada Pageant at Bert Church Live Theatre and the Ultimate Suya Picnic at Jensen Park, a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great food, culture, and community.

Hello, Airdrie. At 1pm today, the Community Infrastructure and Strategic Growth (CISG) Standing Committee will be meeting and will be presented with:
- a request to recommend that Council adopt the Accessible and Inclusive Playgrounds Policy P-DEV-24-C

- a request to recommend that Council approves the new Urban Forest Policy P-COM-77-C and repeal the Urban Forest Policy P-03/2006.

Hello Airdrie! 🤍 How was your week? From working out with residents at the Fitness Bootcamp, enjoying the FIFA World Cup Final watch party, attending the 2nd Annual Airdrie Muslim Festival and the Rocky View County Residents' Day at the Rocky View County Hall, to meeting with residents throughout the week, it has been a rewarding few days.

A highlight was celebrating the groundbreaking of Wildflower's Homeowners Association Outdoor Pool, Airdrie's first outdoor pool. Every thriving neighbourhood strengthens our city, and amenities like this complement our public recreation system while contributing to Airdrie's continued growth.

Today, I also enjoyed connecting with residents and local businesses at the Mayor's Golf Tournament in support of the Airdrie & District Community Foundation.

This Saturday, I encourage residents to attend the 13th Annual Korean War Veterans Day Ceremony and the 73rd Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement as we honour the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

Hello Airdrie! 🤍 Another big win for Airdrie today, as we made a splash at the groundbreaking of Wildflower's Home Owners Association and Airdrie's very first outdoor pool for Wildflower Airdrie residents! 🌼🏊🎉

The vision is already so clear! I see families gathering here to make memories, children learning to swim, neighbours connecting, and our community growing together. Here's to many summers of fun ahead!

🏆Airdrie has been recognized as Alberta's Most Active Community in the 2026 ParticipACTION Community Challenge presented by Novo Nordisk!

From fitness classes and community walks to recreation programs and public swimming, residents across the city helped make June a month of movement and connection.

Thank you to everyone who championed the challenge, logged their participation and supported local events. Your energy and dedication helped earn this provincial title and a $10,000 investment in future physical activity initiatives, such as support for Airdrie's participation in next year's ParticipACTION Community Challenge.
