PLASCHEMA'S LEADERSHIP RETREAT CHARTS A NEW COURSE FOR THE AGENCY AND HEALTHCARE IN PLATEAU.
In a strategic move to deepen leadership excellence and strengthen institutional performance, the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) concluded a five-day High-Impact Leadership Retreat for its expanded Management Staff at the serene Miango Rest Home (MRH), Jos.
For five days, the expanded Management of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) stepped away from their desks and into an environment designed for reflection, learning, and transformation during a High-Impact Leadership Retreat anchored by BlueSpring Consulting and Training Ltd. This period was more than just another training programme, the retreat served as a strategic investment in the people entrusted with driving one of Plateau State's most important public health institutions.
The retreat had in attendance the Permanent Secretary of the Plateau State Ministry of Health, Mr. Bitrus Keln Hosea, who applauded the Director-General of PLASCHEMA, Dr. Kwande Solomon Dawal, for what he described as a timely and visionary initiative. He noted that leadership is most effective when it intentionally prepares for tomorrow's challenges and commended the Agency for its impressive strides in expanding access to quality healthcare. He further observed that PLASCHEMA's growing impact continues to reflect the healthcare vision of the "Time Is Now" administration of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang Esq, while expressing appreciation to the Governor for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the health sector across the State.
In his remarks, the Director-General, Dr. Kwande Solomon Dawal, reflected on the Agency's remarkable progress since assuming office, attributing its achievements to the steadfast support and confidence of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the commitment of all staff of the Agency. He challenged participants to approach every session with purpose, reminding them that effective leadership is measured not only by ideas discussed but by the positive change they inspire in the lives of the people they serve. "Our responsibility goes beyond managing systems," he emphasized. "It is about building an institution that continually earns the confidence of government and delivers quality healthcare for every Plateau resident." He further acknowledged the exceptional faculty of BlueSpring Consulting and Training Ltd., whose wealth of experience enriched every session of the retreat.
Across five intensive days, participants explored the qualities required of leaders in an increasingly complex world. Conversations ranged from organizational resilience and leadership influence to excellence-driven growth, ownership in a rapidly changing industry, decision-making under uncertainty, and conflict management. The learning experience extended beyond presentations, with practical case studies, interactive exercises, team-building games, and bonding sessions that encouraged
collaboration, trust, and innovative thinking.
The sessions were facilitated by renowned leadership experts, Lead Consultant, Dr. Dankishiya Saleh Hadi, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of BlueSpring Consulting and Training Ltd., Dr. Viktor Kuchili, whose engaging and thought-provoking presentations challenged participants to think differently, lead boldly, and embrace continuous improvement.
As the retreat drew to a close, what participants carried home was more than notebooks filled with ideas. They left with renewed purpose, stronger relationships, and a collective determination to build an even more resilient and responsive PLASCHEMA poised to placed Plateau State on the path towards sustainable universal health coverage.
