I remember when I was pregnant with my second baby, I had this very terrible itching with a larger amount of discharge from my vJ.

I knew discharge was normal during pregnancy but not itching, that kind of itching that will change your walking step, that type that the more you itch, the sweeter it is. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I remember as a younger girl while in school once once laidat you will have discharge and itching then use one or two medications it will be okay.

But with pregnancy it was something else, my first pregnancy was okay, no excessive discharge and no itching at all but why now, why this second pregnancy?

I consulted my gynecologist as I couldnโ€™t bear it again and he asked the necessary questions.

One good thing was that the discharge wasnโ€™t smelling and it didnโ€™t have an abnormal color, so it was okay.

So a medication that I rubbed on my vJ was prescribed, I didnโ€™t swallow anything because as a pregnant woman you donโ€™t swallow medications just like that.

With that topical creme applied, it solved the maths and I was back to normal. I used it till I gave birth and immediately I gave birth the itching stopped like immediately.

Why am I sharing this? A lot of women have sent me messages about this vJ itching and discharge, please know it is normal oo, very normal.

When a woman is pregnant, the blood vessels and everything skyrockets, everything happens at once.

When pregnant please donโ€™t take unprescribed medications, donโ€™t say your friend took so you too you will take.

See your midwife, see your gynecologist.

Go to the hospital not online consultation please.

Hello beautiful people...

The weather is upon us again, the dry and harsh weather.

Here are few things to do to keep your body warm and moist;

1. Take warm baths atleast once or twice daily. The water shouldn't be cold. Warm water will hydrate the skin.

2. Apply mild and easy petroleum jelly on your skin abundantly. This will keep the skin shiny and serve as a protection against the harsh weather.

3. Take alot of fruits this season, it will help boost your immunity and keep you hydrated.

4. For your hands, soles of feet, ankles, elbows and your neck regions, use soft creams and ointments like baby oil and hand creams as the case may be.

5. For your lips, use lip balms or lips gloss. If not your lips will break which can cause alot of pain and bleeding.

6. Take alot of water, this cannot be taken for granted. DRINK WATER. If you struggle with drinking water, you can have a sipping cup or water bottle, then wash and cut fruits like pineapple, watermelon, lemon or any fruit that can serve as a sweetener for you.

7. Wear appropriate dresses and shoes. Avoid exposing your body too much.

Lastly, take lots of vegetables, spinach, ugu(pumpkin leaves), lettuce, water leaf and the rest.

I wish you a healthy mind, body and soul this period.

LETS TEACH OUR FIRST TIMERS HOW TO PUSH.

During labour, knowing how and when to push is the key.

When you push too early, you get edema of the cervix, that is the cervix will become swollen and that becomes a problem, it might tear,

NOW
When you feel like pushing, call the nurse and she will advice you if it's the right time to push or not

Don't push even if baby is pushing you
Some women will start pushing when the baby starts pushing them
The best way is to open your mouth and breath till the contractions stops

When you are set to push ,you lay on your back ,then the best way is to hold your legs (you know that level you wear your socks? good, hold that part) and open your legs completely when you open them completely, lift your head a little bit and face your abdomen, then push like you want to po*o

when the pain subsides, you can rest and take deep breaths as you wait for the next contractions.

when Contractions you will feel like pushing naturally , so push that baby harder and make use of each contractions
so you don't get you and baby tired

when the head is out, the rest of the body will follow

you know the sweetest thing about this
once baby is out the pain will go immediately ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
placenta will be delivered , while baby is been cleaned up
lastly the midwife will clean you up by putting her hand inside your va**na down to the uterus to clean up to enable the uterus contract
this process is painful but very important to avoid bleeding afterwards

Ps: you can eat during labour to enable you have strength to push
Don't mind some people that say don't eat so the baby can easily come out
Please the passage for po*o and baby are not the same

Glucose is also good during labour for strength
Lastly
Don't shout or scream during labour
Don't cry during labour
Don't confess bad words
Don't bite your hubby biko๐Ÿ˜„
Dont hit the nurse or people with you biko๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
All these things will make you weak before time.

So, whenever I conduct antenatal classes for my preggos at the hospital and I ask them why they don't like taking their meds (folic acid, fersolate and calcium) the complain is usually almost the same.

They complain that the smell is too much, it makes them vomit, some say it doesn't digest, it hangs on their throat, some say it's irritating. You know, plenty plenty complains like that.

Your complains are valid o, very valid but being a woman, birthing and nursing a child isn't easy but which do you prefer? Having a deformed child due to the discomforts you will experience or taking the meds and having a very healthy child without any abnormality.

You know these meds your gynaecologist or midwife prescribe for you aren't for just prescribing sake oo my mama. They are meant to avoid spinal bifida, cleft palate, anencephaly amongst others.

Take them, drink alot of water and have a healthy baby.

If they make you weak, nauseous and even vomit during the day, have you tried taking them at night before bed? You didn't know? Now you know, you can take them at night just before going to bed, the goal is that you take it everyday.

So do me, you and your baby a favour, take your pregnancy meds daily.

Cheers to good health, love and light.

Dear breastfeeding mum, if you want your breast milk to pour like tap, like you want to have abundance of breast milk for your baby, please take a lot of liquid and semi liquid foods like tea, pap, zobo, kunu, Acha pudding, water, yoghurt, tamba etc.

These are very good drinks or food to make breast milk pour everywhere. Your baby will be so full and healthy.

Try it and thank me later.
