Homecare nursing services are being abused now in Nigeria.

When I started Homecare in 2020, I spoke to 2 of my doctor colleagues to work with me. Especially when I later streamlined to mental health, I also spoke with a psychologist and a social worker. I went to the State Ministry of Health to get the necessary documentation.

This team has been with me since then. And each time I come online to talk about Menorah Home Healthcare, it is because I have confidence that I am not practicing quackery, and I am not crossing professional boundaries. Even my clients in Kaduna that I have attended to can testify that I always bring in a doctor to do an assessment before I proceed with care.

But in this era, every nurse just jumps into homecare without understanding how it works and the principles to apply. I see registered nurses practicing quackery without even knowing that it is quackery.

Please, not every nurse should do homecare if you don’t understand how it is done. Nursing is a noble profession and has been for ages. Let us not drag it down or make it be looked down upon.

Today, we remember the sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters whose lives we have lost to substance misuse and overdose.
We stand with the families, friends, and communities carrying the pain.

But we also stand in HOPE.
Recovery IS possible.

In Nigeria, we must do more by
