For yellow to orange urine — before going to hospital — here is what to do at home immediately.

These remedies are for mild changes only. Dark brown, red, pink, or black urine goes straight to hospital. 💙

💧 1. Warm Water — First and Always

Not cold. Not room temperature when warrior is unwell.

Warm water. Every 30 minutes.

Start immediately. Continue until urine begins to lighten. Target 8 to 10 glasses minimum for the day.

💧 2. ORS — Oral Rehydration Solution

Dissolve in warm water and give alongside plain water.

ORS replaces electrolytes that dehydration removes — sodium, potassium, glucose. Plain water alone does not replace these. ORS and warm water together rehydrate faster and more completely.

🍲 3. Warm Soups and Light Broths

Light vegetable or chicken broth counts toward fluid intake and adds electrolytes naturally. Give alongside water and ORS.

🟡 BRIGHT TO DEEP YELLOW — Watch ⚠️

Early sign of mild dehydration or mild bilirubin increase. Increase warm fluid intake immediately. Monitor. If it lightens — you are fine.

🟠 ORANGE — Concerning ⚠️⚠️

Significant dehydration or elevated bilirubin from red blood cell breakdown. Increase fluids aggressively every 30 minutes. Check for new medications. Watch for yellowing eyes or abdominal pain. If no improvement in a few hours — go to hospital.

🟤 DARK BROWN — TEA OR COCA-COLA COLOUR — Serious ⚠️⚠️⚠️

This means haemoglobin from breaking down red blood cells is entering the urine — or the liver is under significant stress. Hospital today. Do not wait.

🔴 RED OR PINK — Emergency 🚨

Blood is present in the urine. Could be kidney vessel bleeding or severe kidney crisis. Hospital immediately. No home management.

First — the kidneys.
