A New Chapter. A New Home.
Something special for women now has a home of its own.
Our journey began with AllgreenPlanet.org, an umbrella idea created when we were still experimenting with different green and agricultural projects and figuring out where our work could take us.
But as our work evolved, so did our vision.
One idea became clearer.
One solution became stronger.
And one brand emerged.
Terraverde Care by Allgreen Ivy Limited.
Today, Terraverde Care is a Nigerian menstrual health brand developing disposable and reusable menstrual pads, thoughtfully designed around women's comfort, everyday needs, and confidence.

Our work brings together:

🌿 Plant-based agricultural fibres

🔬 Local research and product development

🇳🇬 Nigerian innovation and manufacturing

💚 Women-centred design

🌾 Agricultural value creation

🤝 Community and partnership

Our new website brings this journey together in one place , our story, products, innovation, impact, partnerships, and vision for the future.
But it is more than a digital storefront.
It represents a new chapter for the brand.
A chapter of continued learning, innovation, growth, and building something that can proudly stand as a Nigerian brand with global potential.
We invite women, retailers, distributors, NGOs, schools, healthcare organizations, corporate partners, investors, and collaborators to explore our new home and connect with us.

Some brands sell products.

We're here to create change.

Terraverde Care was born from a simple belief: no woman should have to choose between comfort, dignity, and caring for the environment.

Every step we take is driven by a desire to make periods a little easier and our planet a little greener.

We're still growing, still learning, and still building, but we're so glad you're here to be part of the journey.

Welcome to Terraverde Care. 💚

Gentle on You. Kind to the Earth.

At Allgreen Ivy Limited, innovation is not limited to our products, it extends to how we learn, build, and grow.

This week, our CEO, Lydia Thompson, participated in the Level Up AI Entrepreneurial Leadership Program organized by Unistream in collaboration with the State of Israel and Innov8 Hub

The program provided hands-on exposure to the practical application of Artificial Intelligence across various aspects of entrepreneurship and business development, including:

✅ Design Thinking

✅ Storytelling and Brand Communication

✅ Content Creation

✅ Video Production

✅ Graphic Design and Logo Development

✅ UI/UX Design

✅ Website Development

✅ Application Development through Vibe Coding

✅ Business Productivity and Automation Tools

The experience demonstrated how AI can empower entrepreneurs and startups to move faster, test ideas more efficiently, and build solutions with fewer resource constraints.

As a company committed to sustainability, innovation, and impact, we are excited to apply these learnings to strengthen our operations, improve communication, and continue delivering value to our customers and communities.

We appreciate the organizers, facilitators, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs who made this learning journey impactful.

The future belongs to organizations that continuously learn, adapt, and innovate.

Week, we moved from talking… to doing.

In Week 3 of our Women’s Business Training in Owode Apata, the room came alive, not with slides, but with hands-on learning, creativity, and possibility.

We didn’t just discuss business growth.
We created products.

Women worked in groups to:

Turn old denim into reusable bags 👖

Learn how to make reusable sanitary pads 🌸

Extract fibre from banana stems 🌿

What stood out wasn’t just the skills, it was the shift in mindset.

Materials that were once seen as waste suddenly became:

Products

Business ideas

Income opportunities

For many, it was the first time they truly saw that:

> “You can start a business with what you already have.”

There was laughter, curiosity, collaboration and most importantly, confidence building in real time.

This is what practical training should look like: Not just information, but transformation.

As we head into our final week, one thing is clear, these women are not just learning…

They are building. 🌱

Last week, something powerful happened in Owode Apata.

We gathered with a group of hardworking women, fashion designers, traders, and health workers, not just to talk about business, but to see it differently.

In Week 2 of our Women’s Business Training, we explored a simple but powerful idea:
What if the problems around us are actually business opportunities?

Together, we discussed how:
Waste can become products
Unreliable electricity can inspire new services
Everyday challenges can turn into income streams
What stood out the most wasn’t just the teaching, it was the ideas that came from the women themselves.
From fabric scraps becoming new fashion items, to solar-powered phone charging, to creative ways of reducing waste, the room was full of insight, creativity, and possibility.

One thing became clear:
When women begin to see opportunities differently, their businesses begin to grow differently.
This is what we’re building, not just businesses, but mindsets, confidence, and sustainable pathways to growth.

Week 3 is about to take things even further. 🌱

We received a Special Recognition for Gender Impact at the Cleantech Days event in Istanbul, Turkey, sponsored by TÜBITAK and UNIDO.

This is our very first recognition, ever. Home or abroad. And to receive it on the global stage? My heart is still swelling.

What we do at Terraverde-Care Sanitary Pads embodies true gender mainstreaming: women producing for women. From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, from distribution to the end users and beneficiaries, women are at the center of every stage. This isn't just a business model; it's a deliberate choice to create impact where it matters most.

But this recognition doesn't belong to us alone. It belongs to our incredible team at Allgreen Ivy Limited, who show up every day with commitment and excellence. It belongs to the NGOs and corporate CSR partners who've championed women and girls alongside us. It belongs to every single person who has purchased our pads, shared feedback, and believed in what we're building.

Thank you. Truly.
To UNIDO: this recognition is fuel. It propels us forward into what lies ahead with renewed purpose and energy.

To the GCIP-NIGERIA Team: working with you has been nothing short of amazing. We couldn't have reached this milestone without your partnership and support.

As we look toward 2026, we're opening our doors to NGOs and companies who share our vision for women's health and empowerment. If you're looking for authentic impact, measurable outcomes, and a partner with proven commitment to gender equity, let's talk. Together, we can reach more women and girls who need access to safe, affordable, and dignified menstrual care.

Let's build something meaningful in 2026. Reach out, we're ready.

Irregular Periods: What's Normal and What's Not 🩺

Not all cycle variations are cause for concern, but knowing the difference could be crucial for your health.

WHAT'S CONSIDERED "REGULAR":

• Cycle length: 21-35 days (counted from first day of one period to first day of the next)
• Period duration: 3-7 days
• Flow: 2-3 tablespoons total (about 30-40ml)
• Slight variations month-to-month are normal

COMMON CAUSES OF IRREGULAR PERIODS:

✓ Stress and lifestyle changes
✓ Significant weight changes
✓ Intense exercise routines
✓ Starting or stopping birth control
✓ Perimenopause (typically 40s)
✓ Recent childbirth or breastfeeding

These are often temporary and resolve naturally.

⚠️ WHEN TO SEE A DOCTOR:

🚨 Periods suddenly stop for 3+ months (and you're not pregnant)
🚨 Cycles shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days consistently
🚨 Bleeding between periods or after s*x
🚨 Extremely heavy flow (soaking through products hourly)
🚨 Periods lasting longer than 7 days
🚨 Severe pain that disrupts daily life
🚨 Sudden changes in your normal pattern

POSSIBLE UNDERLYING CONDITIONS:

• PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome)
• Thyroid disorders
• Endometriosis
• Uterine fibroids
• Hormonal imbalances

Early diagnosis leads to better outcomes.

TRACKING YOUR CYCLE:

The best way to identify irregularities is to track:
📝 Start and end dates
📝 Flow heaviness (light/medium/heavy)
📝 Symptoms (cramps, mood, energy)
📝 Notable life events (stress, travel, illness)

Use apps, calendars, or journals—whatever works for you. Patterns emerge over 3-6 months.

OUR ADVICE:

Trust your instincts. You know your body best. If something feels off, it's worth discussing with a healthcare provider. Don't let anyone dismiss your concerns.

While Terraverde Care Pads keep you protected through any cycle pattern, we encourage you to prioritize understanding what's normal for YOU.

Your cycle tells a story about your health. Are you listening? 💜

🩸 MENSTRUAL PHASE (Days 1-5) What's Happening: Your body is shedding the uterine lining. Iron levels drop, and you may feel fatigued.

📌Vitamin C - Oranges, bell peppers, strawberries (boosts iron absorption) •
📌Omega-3 fatty acids - Salmon, walnuts, flaxseeds (reduces inflammation and cramps)
📌Dark chocolate - Magnesium helps ease cramps and mood
📌Ginger & turmeric - Natural anti-inflammatory properties
📌 Water-rich foods - Cucumber, watermelon (stay hydrated)
Avoid: Excessive caffeine, salty foods, and refined sugars that can worsen bloating and cramps.

📌Fresh vegetables - Broccoli, zucchini, carrots (fiber helps metabolize estrogen)

📌Berries - Antioxidants support cellular health
Focus on: Light, energizing meals that fuel your naturally high energy levels.

This is your lightest eating phase - your body is naturally efficient now.
