Did you know feeling "off" - foggy, tired, a little irritable - is often your body's quiet way of asking for water? 💧

Many of us only drink when we feel thirsty, but by then, mild dehydration has often already set in. A few gentle signs to watch for: dry lips, low energy, dark yellow urine, or a headache that comes out of nowhere.

The good news? Staying ahead of it doesn't require anything fancy:

🔹 Start your morning with a glass of water, before tea or coffee

🔹 Set a reminder every 2 hours if you sit at a desk

🔹 Add fruit slices if plain water feels boring

🔹 Keep a bottle with you when you're out and about

Small, consistent habits protect your energy, your mood, and your focus - every single day.

How do you stay hydrated during a busy day? Tell us in the comments 👇

Breastfeeding takes a lot of love... and a lot from your body too. ❤️

In between feeding, changing diapers, soothing tears, and catching tiny moments of sleep, it's easy for mums to forget one very important person: themselves.

Here are a few gentle nutrition habits that can make a difference:

✔ Keep water within reach. Many mums feel thirsty while breastfeeding, so make hydration easy.

✔ Don't wait until you're starving. Small, nourishing meals and healthy snacks throughout the day can help keep your energy steady.

✔ Aim for colour on your plate. A mix of fruits and vegetables gives your body a variety of nutrients to support recovery and overall wellbeing.

✔ Include protein whenever you can. Eggs, beans, fish, lean meat, dairy, or other protein-rich foods help support your body's recovery after childbirth.

✔ Be kind to yourself. Some days won't be perfect, and that's okay. One balanced meal is better than skipping meals altogether.

Motherhood asks so much of you every single day. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish, it helps you keep showing up for the little one who depends on you.

And remember, good nutrition works hand in hand with healthy blood levels, especially after childbirth. That's why many healthcare professionals may recommend a haematinic like Plexitone to help replenish essential nutrients and support healthy blood formation during postpartum recovery.

Because when Mum is nourished, everyone feels the difference.

As World Breastfeeding Week comes to a close, we'd like to leave every mother with this simple reminder:

You are doing better than you think. ❤️

Whether breastfeeding has felt natural, challenging, or somewhere in between, your love has never been measured by perfection. It's been measured in every cuddle, every sleepless night, every moment you chose to show up for your little one.

This year's theme, "Breastfeeding for a sustainable start in life: Strengthen what works," reminds us that mothers don't just need information, they need support. A listening ear. An encouraging word. A workplace that understands. A family that steps in. A community that stands beside them.

Because no mother was ever meant to carry motherhood alone.

To every breastfeeding mother, every expressing mum, every mother finding her own path, and every person who has offered a helping hand along the way, thank you.

As this week ends, may we continue to build a world where every mother feels supported, valued, and never alone.

From all of us at Evans Baroque, thank you for allowing us to be part of your wellness journey.

Here's to healthier mothers, thriving babies, and stronger communities.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week.

Some days, family looks like a warm meal waiting on the table.

Some days, it's someone holding the baby so Mum can finally take a shower.

Some days, it's a quiet "You're doing amazing," just when those words are needed most.

Love isn't always found in grand gestures. More often, it lives in the little things we do for one another every single day.

This World Breastfeeding Week, we're celebrating every person who chooses to show up, with patience, kindness, encouragement, and helping hands.

Because when one person feels supported, the whole family becomes stronger.

Here's to the dads who stay up through the night. The grandparents who gladly step in. The siblings who lend a hand. The friends who check in just because.

And here's to every family that reminds someone, "You don't have to do this alone."

Thank you for making love feel practical, comforting, and present. ❤️

If you could choose just one...

What's the hardest part of motherhood?

✔ Sleepless nights

✔ Finding time for yourself

✔ Keeping up with feeding and nutrition

✔ Recovering after childbirth

✔ Balancing everything at once

No matter what you choose, please know this: you're not alone.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it's also demanding in ways that people don't always see. Behind every smile is a mum giving her all, even on the days when she's running on little sleep, little time, and very little energy.

This World Breastfeeding Week, we're celebrating every mother, not because you have it all together, but because you continue to show up with love, every single day.

No one can see the healing your body is doing right now. ❤️

If you've recently had a baby, here's something you deserve to hear:

Your body is healing from one of the biggest things it will ever do.

Beyond the stitches you may see, there's also the placenta wound inside your uterus, a wound that your body is quietly repairing every single day. Add the blood lost during childbirth, the demands of breastfeeding, and those countless sleepless nights, and it's no wonder you don't always feel like yourself.

So if you've been feeling tired, weak, or running on empty, please don't be so hard on yourself.

Your body isn't failing you.

It's asking you to help it heal.

This World Breastfeeding Week, while we celebrate the incredible gift of breastfeeding, let's also remember that mothers need nourishment too.

A balanced diet, rest where possible, and good postnatal care all play an important role. Plexitone is specially formulated with Iron, Folic Acid, B-Complex Vitamins, Vitamin C, Zinc, and Selenium to support healthy blood formation, replenish essential nutrients, and help your body recover after childbirth.

Because healing isn't selfish.

It's how you keep showing up for the little one who needs you most.

Be kind to yourself, Mama.

You're healing in ways the world can't see. ❤️

No one talks enough about how much a mother's body gives. ❤️

Every cuddle.

Every feed.

Every sleepless night.

Through it all, you're constantly pouring into someone else, often before you've had the chance to pour back into yourself.

If you're a nursing mum, we hope you remember this today:

You deserve care too.

Not because you've earned it.

Not because you've reached a breaking point.

Simply because your health matters.

Have you ever stopped to think about just how much a mother does in a single day?

From the first cuddle in the morning to the last bedtime story at night, mothers pour so much of themselves into the people they love.

They comfort, encourage, teach, cheer, and somehow keep going even when they're running low on energy.

That's why we often call them superheroes, not because they have superpowers, but because they love with extraordinary strength every single day.

Today, here's a gentle reminder to every mum: while you're taking care of everyone else, don't forget that you deserve care too.

Rest when you can. Eat well. Ask for help when you need it. Celebrate the little victories. You matter just as much.

To every mother, grandmother, caregiver, and mother figure, thank you for the countless ways you make the world a kinder place. ❤️

Tag a mum who deserves to be celebrated today and let her know she's appreciated.

Sunday reflection: let's clear the air. 🔍

Some of what we've all been told about breastfeeding isn't fact, it's shame dressed up as fact. And it's quietly made mothers feel like they were failing at something that was never their fault.

This World Breastfeeding Week, the WHO theme is about strengthening what already works: skilled counselling, informed care, and communities that show up without judgment. Part of that means clearing away the myths and shame that get in the way, especially the ones that don't get talked about enough: body-shaming, medication anxiety, feeding-method guilt, and more.

Swipe through the carousel below, and if you're carrying guilt about any of these, let this be your permission to set it down. Which of these myths surprised you most, or which one do you wish someone had corrected sooner? Tell us in the comments. 👇
