7 THINGS A MAN’S BEHAVIOUR MAY REVEAL ABOUT THE WOMAN HE IS WITH

© Samuel Olagbenjo

A man once sat in my office during a counselling session and said:

“Sir, I don't even recognise myself anymore. I used to be calm, focused, and driven. Now, I am always angry, distracted, and emotionally drained.”

I asked him gently, “When did you begin to notice this change?”

He paused for a moment before replying:

“After I got into this relationship.”

That answer opened the door to a deeper conversation.

Sometimes, a man enters a relationship full of enthusiasm, ambition, and confidence, but over time, he begins to struggle emotionally. He becomes withdrawn, loses motivation, or develops habits he never had before.

Could the relationship be contributing to the change?

It is possible.

The truth is that the quality of a relationship can influence how a person feels, thinks, and behaves. A supportive relationship can encourage growth, while a persistently unhealthy one can contribute to emotional exhaustion.

However, this does not mean a woman is automatically responsible for every change in her man's behaviour. Men, too, must take responsibility for their choices, emotional health, and personal growth.

Dear singles and married couples, here are seven things a man's behaviour may reveal about the relationship he is in.

Please read, learn, and share with someone who needs this message.

1. ✅WHEN HE BECOMES QUIET AND WITHDRAWN

A man who was once expressive and communicative may gradually become silent or emotionally distant.

Sometimes, he feels unheard, constantly criticised, or unable to express himself without an argument. In other cases, he may be dealing with personal stress, disappointment, or emotional struggles unrelated to his partner.

What to do: Create room for honest conversations. Listen to understand rather than to win an argument. Ask him what he is experiencing and encourage him to express himself respectfully.

Silence should not become the permanent solution to problems that require communication.

2. ✅WHEN HE BECOMES EASILY IRRITATED AND ANGRY

A man who is constantly tense, defensive, or frustrated may be struggling with unresolved conflict or pressure in his relationship.

Repeated arguments, disrespect, financial stress, and unmet expectations can contribute to emotional strain. However, anger may also arise from personal difficulties that require individual attention.

What to do: Identify recurring sources of tension and address them calmly. Learn to disagree without insults, threats, or humiliation.

A peaceful home is not one where nobody raises a concern. It is one where both partners can discuss difficult issues without destroying each other emotionally.

3. ✅WHEN HE LOSES MOTIVATION AND DRIVE

Some men become less enthusiastic about their goals when they feel constantly discouraged, compared with others, or unsupported by their partners.

When every attempt is criticised and every failure becomes a reason for ridicule, a man may begin to doubt himself.

What to do: Encourage his genuine efforts, recognise his progress, and discuss his goals together. Offer honest feedback without belittling him.

At the same time, every man must take responsibility for his own ambition. A supportive wife can encourage his growth, but she cannot do the work he must do himself.

4. ✅WHEN HE BECOMES SECRETIVE

If a man begins hiding important information, avoiding honest conversations, or becoming unusually defensive, it may indicate that trust has weakened in the relationship.

Sometimes, people hide things because they fear criticism or conflict. In other cases, secrecy may involve dishonesty, irresponsible behaviour, or a deliberate attempt to avoid accountability.

What to do: Build a relationship where both partners can speak honestly and take responsibility for their actions. Discuss privacy and transparency, and establish boundaries that protect trust.

A woman should not use honesty as an excuse to humiliate her partner, and a man should not use fear of conflict to justify deception.

5. ✅WHEN HE BECOMES EMOTIONALLY DISCONNECTED

A man who once shared his feelings, plans, and concerns may eventually stop opening up.

He may feel unappreciated, misunderstood, or uncertain about whether his vulnerability will be treated with care. Emotional disconnection can also result from depression, stress, or other personal challenges.

What to do: Show interest in his experiences. Appreciate his contributions, ask how he is doing, and listen without immediately dismissing his feelings.

Both partners need to feel that their emotions matter. Emotional connection grows when honesty is met with empathy rather than ridicule.

6. ✅WHEN HE FEELS OVERBURDENED AND ALONE

A man may become exhausted when he feels solely responsible for the family's financial needs, major decisions, and practical responsibilities.

This can be especially difficult when he believes he cannot admit that he is struggling.

However, the solution is not to assume that every responsibility belongs to the man or that every woman is demanding. Couples face different circumstances, and responsibilities should be discussed according to their situation and capacity.

What to do: Talk honestly about finances, household duties, family expectations, and emotional needs. Develop a realistic plan and support each other through difficult seasons.

Marriage should be a partnership where neither person feels abandoned to carry every burden alone.

7. ✅WHEN HE BECOMES SOMEONE HE NO LONGER LIKES

Perhaps he was once cheerful, patient, productive, and full of hope. Now, he finds himself constantly angry, withdrawn, discouraged, or emotionally exhausted.

An unhealthy relationship can contribute to these changes, especially when it involves persistent humiliation, manipulation, neglect, or abuse.

But personal losses, work pressure, health challenges, and unresolved emotional struggles can also affect behaviour.

What to do: Take an honest look at the relationship and your own wellbeing. Ask yourself: Am I growing in this relationship, or am I continually losing my peace, confidence, and sense of purpose?

Where both partners are willing, seek counselling and work towards meaningful change. If the relationship involves abuse or danger, prioritise safety and seek appropriate support.

Love should not require you to lose your identity or tolerate mistreatment.

FINAL THOUGHT

Dear men and women, your partner's behaviour may offer clues about what is happening in your relationship, but it is not enough on its own to establish the cause.

A man's anger does not automatically mean his woman has mistreated him. His silence does not automatically mean she has failed him. And his lack of motivation does not automatically mean she has discouraged him.

Do not use your partner's behaviour only to assign blame. Use it as an opportunity to ask honest questions, identify unhealthy patterns, and take responsibility for the changes you can make.

Dear men, ask yourself: Am I becoming the man I want to be in this relationship?

Dear women, ask yourself: Does my behaviour help create an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, honesty, and emotional safety?

Both partners deserve a relationship that supports their growth. Both must be willing to listen, change, and contribute to its health.

My prayer is that God will give you the wisdom to recognise unhealthy patterns, the courage to address difficult issues, and the grace to build relationships that bring out the best in both of you.

If this message blessed you, kindly SHARE it with your friends and loved ones. You may help someone understand their relationship better today.

QUESTION: Have you ever noticed a change in a man's behaviour after he entered a relationship? What do you think contributed to that change?

7 THINGS A WOMAN’S BEHAVIOUR MAY REVEAL ABOUT THE MAN SHE IS WITH

A woman once sat in my office during a counselling session and said:

“Sir, I don't even recognise myself anymore. I used to be calm, happy, and full of life. Now, I am always angry, exhausted, and stressed.”

I asked her gently, “When did you begin to notice this change in yourself?”

She thought for a moment before replying:

“After I got into this relationship.”

That answer opened the door to a deeper conversation.

Sometimes, people enter relationships with certain strengths and weaknesses, but the relationship itself can influence how they behave, feel, and respond to life.

A woman who once felt confident may become insecure. A cheerful woman may become withdrawn. Someone who was once peaceful may find herself constantly fighting to be heard.

Does this mean the man is always responsible for her behaviour? No. Every adult remains responsible for personal choices and actions. However, the quality of a relationship can either support emotional growth or contribute to emotional distress.

Dear singles and married couples, here are seven things a woman's behaviour may reveal about the relationship she is in.

Please read, learn, and share with someone who needs this message.

1. ✅WHEN SHE BECOMES OVERLY ANXIOUS AND INSECURE

A woman who constantly fears losing her partner may be struggling with insecurity, past emotional wounds, or a lack of trust in the relationship.

If a man repeatedly lies, breaks promises, hides important information, or behaves inconsistently, his actions can make it difficult for his partner to feel secure.

However, anxiety does not automatically prove that a man is doing something wrong. Sometimes, personal experiences and unresolved fears also contribute.

What to do: Build trust through honesty, faithfulness, transparency, and consistency. If insecurity persists, both partners should be willing to understand its causes and work towards healing.

2. ✅WHEN SHE STARTS ACTING LIKE HIS MOTHER

Does she constantly remind him to fulfil his responsibilities, manage every detail of his life, make decisions for him, and follow up on tasks he should handle himself?

Sometimes, this pattern develops because one partner has taken on too much responsibility while the other has become overly dependent.

Over time, the relationship can begin to feel like a parent-child arrangement rather than a partnership.

What to do: Take responsibility for your decisions, finances, commitments, and personal growth. A wife should be a partner, not the sole manager of a grown man's life.

3. ✅WHEN SHE BECOMES CONTROLLING AND FEELS SHE MUST HANDLE EVERYTHING

When a woman feels that nobody else will take responsibility, she may begin to control decisions, insist on doing things her way, or struggle to delegate.

This may reflect an imbalance in the relationship, but it may also arise from her personal fears, experiences, or difficulty trusting others.

What to do: Build a relationship where responsibilities are shared and both partners can contribute meaningfully. Husbands should demonstrate responsibility and dependability, while wives should also allow room for collaboration rather than control.

Leadership in marriage is not about domination. It is about responsibility, service, wisdom, and mutual respect.

4. ✅WHEN SHE BECOMES ANGRY AND ARGUMENTATIVE

A woman who constantly feels unheard, dismissed, criticised, or disrespected may eventually express her frustration through anger.

Sometimes, anger is the result of unresolved relationship problems. In other cases, it may reflect personal stress, emotional difficulties, or unhealthy communication habits.

What to do: Look beyond the arguments and identify recurring triggers. Learn to listen without interrupting, discuss disagreements respectfully, and address problems before resentment builds.

Both partners must take responsibility for how they communicate. Hurt feelings deserve attention, but insults and intimidation should never become normal.

5. ✅WHEN SHE OVERWORKS HERSELF TO KEEP EVERYTHING TOGETHER

Some women carry the financial, emotional, domestic, and parenting responsibilities of the entire household.

They work tirelessly because they feel that if they stop, everything will fall apart.

In some relationships, this happens because a partner refuses to contribute. In others, it may result from financial hardship, unrealistic expectations, or difficulty asking for help.

What to do: Discuss the responsibilities of the home honestly. Share the workload fairly, create realistic financial plans, and recognise when one partner is becoming overwhelmed.

A responsible husband does not need to have everything figured out, but he should demonstrate commitment, initiative, and a willingness to work with his wife.

6. ✅WHEN SHE BECOMES WITHDRAWN AND STOPS EXPRESSING HERSELF

A woman who once shared her thoughts freely may eventually become quiet when she repeatedly feels ignored, mocked, or punished for speaking honestly.

Sometimes, silence is an attempt to avoid another argument. Sometimes, it reflects emotional exhaustion or a personal struggle unrelated to the relationship.

What to do: Create room for honest conversations without ridicule or retaliation. Ask how she is feeling, listen carefully, and show through your actions that her opinions matter.

If silence has replaced communication for a long time, consider seeking help from a qualified marriage counsellor.

7. ✅WHEN SHE BECOMES SOMEONE SHE NO LONGER RECOGNISES

Perhaps she was once cheerful, confident, affectionate, and full of hope. Now, she feels constantly exhausted, resentful, fearful, or disconnected from herself.

A difficult relationship can contribute to these changes, especially when it involves persistent criticism, manipulation, neglect, or abuse.

However, these changes can also be influenced by grief, work pressure, health concerns, or other life experiences.

What to do: Pause and honestly evaluate the relationship. Ask yourself: Am I becoming healthier, wiser, and more emotionally secure in this relationship, or am I continually losing my sense of wellbeing?

Seek support when necessary. Where abuse or danger is present, prioritise safety and reach out to trusted people and appropriate professional or emergency services.

Do not remain in a harmful situation simply because you believe you must endure everything to prove your love.

FINAL THOUGHT

Dear men and women, your partner's behaviour can offer important clues about the health of your relationship, but it should never be used as the only evidence to judge someone's character.

A woman's anger does not automatically mean her man has failed her. Her silence does not automatically mean he has hurt her. And her happiness does not mean the relationship is perfect.

What matters is the willingness of both partners to examine their actions, acknowledge their mistakes, communicate honestly, and make meaningful changes.

The right relationship should not require you to lose yourself to keep it. It should provide room for both partners to grow, heal, and become healthier versions of themselves.

Dear husbands, ask yourself: Does my behaviour help my wife feel respected, supported, and emotionally safe?

Dear wives, ask yourself: Am I also contributing to the peace, growth, and emotional health of my marriage?

Marriage is not about finding someone to blame for every problem. It is about building a relationship in which both people can thrive.

My prayer is that God will grant you the wisdom to recognise unhealthy patterns, the courage to address them, and the grace to build relationships filled with love, respect, peace, and understanding.

If this message blessed you, kindly SHARE it with your friends and loved ones. Someone may need it to reflect on their relationship today.

QUESTION: Have you ever noticed a change in your behaviour after entering a relationship? What do you think contributed to that change?

7 THINGS OTHER THAN MONEY THAT CAN MAKE YOUR WIFE FEEL LOVED AND HAPPY

© Samuel Olagbenjo

A man once came to me during a counselling session and said:

“Sir, I don't understand my wife. I provide for her, pay the bills, give her money, and take care of my responsibilities. Yet, she still says she is not happy.”

I asked him one simple question:

“Outside money, how do you treat her?”

He went quiet.

Many men believe that once they provide financially, they have fulfilled every responsibility in marriage. They assume that paying the bills is enough to make their wives feel loved.

But the truth is this: money can provide comfort, but it cannot replace emotional connection.

Your wife may appreciate what you provide and still desire more of your time, attention, affection, and understanding.

Dear husbands, if you want your wife to feel genuinely loved, here are seven things you should never neglect.

Please read, learn, and share with someone who needs this message.

1. ✅GIVE HER YOUR ATTENTION

Your wife wants to know that she matters to you, not just that you provide for her.

If you are always busy with work, your phone, business, or other activities, she may begin to feel neglected even when the bills are paid.

What to do: Create time to talk with her every day. Put your phone aside when she is speaking, listen attentively, and make her feel that spending time with her is not a burden.

Sometimes, the greatest gift you can give your wife is your undivided attention.

2. ✅COMMUNICATE OPENLY WITH HER

Silence can create distance between couples. Your wife should not have to guess what is happening in your life or constantly struggle to get you to open up.

Communication builds friendship, understanding, and trust.

What to do: Share your experiences, plans, concerns, and thoughts with her. Ask about her day, listen to her opinions, and discuss important decisions together.

Do not communicate with everyone outside your home while your wife struggles to have a meaningful conversation with you.

3. ✅SHOW HER AFFECTION

Affection is not limited to s*xual intimacy. Sometimes, your wife simply wants a hug, a kiss, a warm smile, or the comfort of holding your hand.

When affection disappears from a marriage, one or both partners may begin to feel emotionally distant.

What to do: Hug her, hold her hand, kiss her affectionately, and sit close to her. Express love without making every affectionate moment an expectation of s*x.

Let her experience your tenderness in ordinary moments, not only when you desire intimacy.

4. ✅APPRECIATE HER EFFORTS

Your wife may be doing many things to support your home, raise your children, advance her career, or contribute to your family's wellbeing.

When her efforts are continually overlooked, she may begin to feel taken for granted.

What to do: Say thank you. Recognise her contributions, acknowledge her sacrifices, and compliment her when she does something well.

Never assume that because she is your wife, she no longer needs appreciation.

A simple “Thank you, my love. I appreciate everything you do” can communicate what silence never will.

5. ✅TREAT HER WITH RESPECT

Your wife is your partner, not your property. She deserves dignity, consideration, and respect, regardless of your financial contribution to the home.

Paying the bills does not give you permission to insult, intimidate, or humiliate her.

What to do: Speak kindly, listen to her opinions, respect her boundaries, and disagree without using abusive words. Never embarrass her deliberately in public or use money to control her.

A healthy marriage is built on mutual respect, not financial superiority.

6. ✅SUPPORT HER EMOTIONALLY

Your wife needs to know that she can share her worries, fears, disappointments, and dreams with you without being mocked or dismissed.

Sometimes, she may not need you to solve the problem immediately. She may simply need you to listen and understand how she feels.

What to do: When she shares a concern, listen patiently before offering advice. Ask what kind of support she needs, reassure her when appropriate, and stand with her through difficult seasons.

Let your wife know that she does not have to face every emotional burden alone.

7. ✅BE CONSISTENT IN YOUR LOVE

Many men are exceptionally attentive during courtship. They call frequently, send thoughtful messages, give compliments, and make deliberate efforts to please the woman they love.

Unfortunately, some stop making those efforts after marriage.

Your wife still needs to feel loved after the wedding ceremony, after childbirth, during financial challenges, and throughout the changing seasons of life.

What to do: Continue the thoughtful habits that strengthen your relationship. Make time for each other, express affection, celebrate special moments, and keep investing in your friendship.

Do not make your wife feel that she had to compete for your attention before marriage but must now beg for it after marriage.

FINAL THOUGHT

Dear husbands, financial provision is important, and your efforts to provide for your family deserve recognition. However, your wife needs more than what you put into the family account; she also needs what you put into the relationship.

Give her your time.

Give her your attention.

Give her affection, respect, understanding, and consistent love.

And dear wives, remember that these principles apply to both partners. A fulfilling marriage is not built by one person giving while the other only receives. Both husband and wife must be intentional about meeting each other's emotional and practical needs.

Do not just build a home where the bills are paid. Build a home where both of you feel loved, valued, respected, and emotionally connected.

My prayer is that God will fill your marriage with genuine love, understanding, peace, and lasting joy. May your home be a place where both of you flourish.

If this message blessed you, kindly SHARE it with other married couples. You may help someone build a happier marriage today.

QUESTION: Apart from money, which of these seven things do you think wives need most from their husbands?

7 THINGS OTHER THAN $£X THAT CAN MAKE YOUR HUSBAND FEEL LOVED AND HAPPY

© Samuel Olagbenjo

A woman once came to me during a counselling session and said:

“Sir, I don't understand my husband. I try my best to satisfy him in the bedroom, but he still seems unhappy.”

I asked her a simple question:

“Outside the bedroom, how do you treat him?”

She paused for a moment.

That question opened the door to a deeper conversation about marriage.

Many people assume that a man's happiness in marriage depends mainly on s*xual intimacy. But the truth is that a fulfilling marriage requires much more than physical connection.

A husband may desire intimacy, but he also needs friendship, appreciation, emotional connection, encouragement, and the assurance that his wife values him as a person.

Dear wives, if you want to strengthen your marriage, here are seven things you can do for your husband apart from $£x.

Please read, learn, and share with someone who needs this message.

1. ✅SHOW HIM RESPECT

Respect is an important part of a healthy marriage. The way you speak to your husband, respond to his opinions, and handle disagreements can either strengthen your connection or create emotional distance.

Respect does not mean you must agree with everything he says. You can disagree without insulting, humiliating, or belittling him.

What to do: Speak to him with consideration, avoid embarrassing him unnecessarily in public, and address disagreements privately and respectfully whenever possible.

Remember, respect must be mutual. A husband should also honour his wife and treat her with dignity.

2. ✅APPRECIATE HIS EFFORTS

Some husbands work hard to provide, support their families, and meet their responsibilities, yet rarely hear a word of appreciation.

When someone's efforts are continually overlooked, discouragement can set in.

What to do: Say thank you when he does something thoughtful. Acknowledge his hard work, celebrate his progress, and let him know that you notice the things he does for the family.

Never assume he already knows you appreciate him. Tell him!

3. ✅BECOME HIS FRIEND

Marriage should not be only about bills, children, responsibilities, and solving problems. It should also be about friendship.

Your husband should be able to laugh with you, share his thoughts, discuss his interests, and enjoy your company without every conversation becoming a complaint or criticism.

What to do: Create time to talk, joke, take walks, enjoy activities together, and share experiences that bring you closer. Keep discovering each other, even after many years of marriage.

Do not become so busy being a wife that you forget to be a friend.

4. ✅SUPPORT HIS DREAMS AND GROWTH

A husband may be carrying dreams, fears, and responsibilities that he finds difficult to express. Knowing that his wife is willing to listen and support his growth can strengthen their partnership.

However, supporting your husband's vision does not mean blindly endorsing every decision or sacrificing your own wellbeing.

What to do: Ask him about his goals. Discuss how you can support each other, offer honest advice, celebrate progress, and work together through setbacks.

Build a marriage where both partners can grow and pursue meaningful goals.

5. ✅MAKE YOUR HOME A PLACE OF EMOTIONAL SAFETY

Everyone experiences pressure, disappointment, and difficult seasons. Your home should be a place where both you and your husband can express yourselves without fear of constant ridicule, insults, or humiliation.

Peace does not mean avoiding every difficult conversation. It means learning to address problems without destroying each other emotionally.

What to do: Choose the right time to discuss sensitive issues, listen before reacting, and work towards solutions instead of trying to win every argument.

Remember, creating peace is a shared responsibility. A wife should not have to carry the entire burden of maintaining peace in the home.

6. ✅SHOW HIM KINDNESS AND CARE

Small acts of kindness can communicate love in powerful ways. Sometimes, your husband may need someone to check on him, listen to him, or notice that he is having a difficult day.

Love is often expressed through ordinary moments rather than grand gestures.

What to do: Ask how his day went. Notice when he seems worried or exhausted. Offer help when you can, prepare something he enjoys occasionally, or simply sit with him and listen.

Do not wait until he is sick, discouraged, or emotionally distant before showing him care.

7. ✅ENCOURAGE HIM WITH YOUR WORDS

Words can either build confidence or deepen discouragement. Your husband may face criticism and pressure outside the home, and your encouragement can remind him that he is not facing life's challenges alone.

Encouragement, however, does not mean pretending he is always right or ignoring irresponsible behaviour.

What to do: Remind him of his strengths, acknowledge his progress, and encourage him when he is making genuine efforts to improve. When correction is necessary, speak honestly but constructively.

Be the kind of partner who can tell the truth without deliberately tearing down the person you love.

FINAL THOUGHT

Dear wives, $£xual intimacy can be an important part of marriage, but it is not the only thing that makes a husband feel loved.

A healthy marriage also needs respect, appreciation, friendship, encouragement, kindness, and emotional connection.

And dear husbands, these principles apply to you too. Your wife also needs to feel loved, respected, appreciated, supported, and emotionally safe.

Do not focus only on what your spouse can give you. Pay attention to what you are contributing to the relationship.

My prayer is that God will strengthen the friendship, understanding, affection, and unity in your marriage. May your home become a place where both of you feel cherished, supported, and genuinely loved.

If this message blessed you, kindly SHARE it with other married couples. You may help someone build a stronger and happier home today.

QUESTION: Apart from s*xual intimacy, which of these seven things do you think couples most often neglect in marriage?
