My heart is heavy as I write this.
These are not just pictures. These are human beings. These are children. Somebody’s son. Somebody’s daughter. Children who should be in classrooms learning, laughing, dreaming about their future — not sitting in fear, pain, and suffering.
Nigeria has become a place where parents now pray with fear every morning before sending their children to school. Education should never become a death sentence. No child deserves to go through this kind of trauma. No mother deserves the sleepless nights. No father deserves the helplessness.
When I look at these children, I don’t just see victims. I see broken dreams, stolen childhoods, and innocent souls crying silently for help. Their eyes tell stories words cannot fully explain. Hunger. Fear. Confusion. Pain.
How did we get here as a nation?
How did kidnapping become so common that people are slowly becoming used to hearing about it? We cannot normalize this. We cannot scroll past this and move on like it is ordinary news.
These children need help. They need protection. They need love. They need their freedom. And every single child in Nigeria deserves to feel safe.
Today, I am posting this not just out of anger, but out of deep sadness. Because somewhere, some parents are crying themselves to sleep, praying to see their children alive again.
May God protect every innocent child out there.
May every kidnapped victim return home safely.
And may Nigeria become a place where children can dream freely again without fear.
