POV: When the VIP patient insists on seeing only one particular nurse. 😂💙

It’s a funny moment, but it also says something important. The care we give, the kindness we show, and the way we make people feel are often remembered long after treatment is over. 🩺🤍

As healthcare professionals, let’s strive to be the nurse, doctor, pharmacist, laboratory scientist, or caregiver that patients trust, remember, and confidently ask for—not because we’re the only ones who can help, but because we’ve consistently shown compassion, professionalism, and excellence. 🌟

Every smile 😊, every reassuring word 💙, and every act of kindness 🤝 can make a lasting difference in someone’s healing journey.

Be the healthcare professional people remember for all the right reasons. ✨

💙 Sometimes, the best medicine begins with a smile. 😊

A kind word. A warm smile. A listening ear. 🤝

These simple acts of compassion can calm anxious hearts, ease a patient’s worries, lower stress, and make the healing journey a little lighter.
While medication treats illness, kindness nurtures the person behind the diagnosis. ❤️🏥

We believe every patient deserves not only excellent medical care but also empathy, respect, and genuine human connection.

Because healing isn’t just about prescriptions…it’s also about how we make people feel. 💙✨

😱✨⚰️ A Casket Was Already Being Planned When Chinedu Opened His Eyes ✨🔅😱

Nobody saw Chinedu that morning. For a man who opened his workshop before most people woke up, it was strange. By 9 a.m., customers who had vehicles with him began gathering outside his locked room. They knocked. They shouted. They called his phone. The ringtone echoed from inside the room, but there was no answer. An uneasy feeling settled over the compound. Something was terribly wrong. 📱

The knocking grew louder. Neighbours joined in. Some peeped through the windows. Others called his relatives. Still there was no movement. Finally, the decision was made. The door had to come down. With one heavy push, it burst open. What they saw froze everyone in place. Chinedu was lying on the floor, completely motionless. 😨

His eyes were shut. His body was limp. His chest appeared still. People rushed toward him. They called his name repeatedly. No response. Water was poured on his face. No response. They shook him. No response. Someone slapped him. Another pressed on his chest. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. At that moment, the crowd reached a heartbreaking conclusion.

“Chinedu is dead.” 😭💔

The news spread like wildfire. Women began to wail. Men removed their caps and stared into space. Phone calls were made to family members. Within minutes, the atmosphere had changed from concern to mourning. People spoke about him in the past tense. His life story was already being told. His death had already become a fact in the minds of everyone present.

As the crying continued, discussions about burial arrangements began. One friend suggested contacting family members immediately. Another mentioned informing his church. Shockingly, a few people even left to make inquiries about purchasing a casket. ⚰️ The young mechanic had not yet been examined by a healthcare worker, yet his funeral was already taking shape.

Then a friend stepped forward and asked a simple question: “Has a doctor confirmed that he is dead?” The crowd fell silent. “Let’s take him to St. Mary’s Hospital first.” Some objected. Others said it would be a waste of time. But eventually they carried Chinedu into a vehicle and sped off to the hospital. 🚑

At exactly 11 a.m., Chinedu arrived at the Accident and Emergency Unit. The nurses immediately began their assessment. His oxygen saturation was only 68%. Then a blood sugar test was performed. The result flashed on the screen: 11 mg/dL. The room instantly became tense. This was not a co**se. This was a medical emergency. ⚠️

The team sprang into action. Oxygen was commenced. An intravenous line was secured. Emergency dextrose was pushed. Relatives stood outside praying. Neighbours watched anxiously. Every second felt like an hour. Five minutes passed. Nothing. Ten minutes passed. Still nothing. Some people lowered their heads and prepared themselves for the worst.

Then, fifteen minutes later, it happened.

Chinedu coughed.

A nurse turned around. His fingers twitched. His eyelids fluttered. Slowly, unbelievably, he opened his eyes and stared at the people around him. For a few seconds, nobody moved. Nobody spoke. The same man whose death had been announced across the neighbourhood was looking around in confusion. Alive. 😳🙌🏽

Further investigation revealed the hidden culprit. Chinedu had been experiencing frequent urination and had sought help from a chemist shop. An inexperienced attendant gave him Daonil, a medication used to lower blood sugar in diabetic patients. Chinedu was not diabetic. After taking two tablets, his blood sugar plummeted throughout the night until he slipped into a profound hypoglycaemic coma. What appeared to be death was actually a treatable medical condition.

That day, Chinedu taught an entire community a lesson they will never forget. Never assume an unconscious person is dead. Never take medications without proper medical evaluation. And never underestimate the power of one person who says, “Let’s get him to the hospital first.” The casket that was being planned was no longer needed. Chinedu went home alive.
