Your Sleep and Your Smart Phone
As funny as this may seem, if you don't maintain a good sleeping habit, your health is at stake especially in this internet and information age.
We believe that the best form of treatment is prevention, and to this effect we encourage our online audiences to pay closer attention to preventive measures rather than curative approaches.
Reasons:
Most times our sleep hours are reduced by the social media, and this reduce our immunity, which make us susceptible to different disease.
Another major determinant is the position we assume during the time we spend on the smart phones in our bedrooms.
for instance many people lay on their bed with a bad sleeping posture, this leads to back pain, eyes problems and consistent headache.
I have treated people with back pain that the only traceable cause of their back pains was bad sleeping position and keeping late night after the day's work on their technological gadgets.
Our smart phones emit rays of light that damage the photo receptors of the eye. This will later have adverse effect during old age, but some experience this at a much younger age.
One good way to cater for this naturally is by taking a walk in places filled with green vegetation, like a field. By looking at those grasses, it helps mitigate the effects of those rays on our eyes.
This is most especially needed by those whose work need constant use of computers.
So here is the main thing:
1. If you must stay up late at night, then have a good nap during the day.
2. You must take enough water and fruits during the day, if you slept late.
3. Avoid the use of caffeine to stay up late at night. If you are sleepy kindly sleep.
