HelpMum Africa is in Linz, Austria for the Ars Electronica Festival, 2026.🇦🇹

We’re excited to be at the Ars Electronica Festival 2026, running September 9th–13th, one of the world’s leading platforms for art, technology, and society. Over these five days, we’ll be immersed in conversations, exhibitions, and collaborations shaping the future of AI for good.

The highlight of our trip comes on Friday, September 11th, as part of the “AI for Social Impact; Negotiating Humanity in Times of Crisis” symposium at the Ursulinensaal, where between 12:50 PM and 1:00 PM, HelpMum will be honored as a Grand Prize Winner of the AI for Social Impact Award, recognized for “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Improve Pregnancy Risk Detection, Maternal and Infant Health Outcomes.”

This honor celebrates the work of HelpMum MamaBot AI, HelpMum VaxAI, and HelpMum StratifyAI tools helping health workers catch high risk pregnancies early and giving mothers in underserved communities pregnancy and vaccination support right on WhatsApp.

Right after, from 1:00 PM to 1:55 PM, we will join fellow innovators and humanitarian leaders on stage for “Negotiating Humanity,” the symposium’s closing panel discussion, exploring what it truly means to build human centered AI in humanitarian contexts, and the commitments needed to shape its future responsibly.

HelpMum is proud to represent Nigeria and Africa’s growing leadership in ethical, community driven AI for maternal and child health.

The World Health Organization, recommends pregnant women to attend at least 8 antenatal care visits to ensure that any form of risk is eliminated.

We developed Stratify Al to support healthcare workers to effectively assess and categorize pregnant women into different pregnancy risk categories during these visits.

Patient’s data is categorized into precise risk levels: high, moderate, or low risk.

We onboarded 10,000+ new mothers into the helpmum vaccintaion tracker through our primary health centres across: Kano, Imo, Oyo, Osun, Jigawa, Katsina and Akwa Ibom state.

The helpmum vaccination tracker was designed to help caregivers easily track their child’s vaccination progress, no matter where they are. To make it accessible, it is available in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa.

We are just getting started. Folloow our journey as we work to
reach more mothers and protect more children across Nigeria.

Childhood immunization programs are pillars of public health, crucial in preventing the spread of infectious diseases and decreasing global morbidity and mortality rates.

This week, our state officer visited Gidan Liman settlement in Jigawa state for our adviser activity to administer vaccines. Also, our state officer in Oyo; we visited inu ikoko, adekola, muslim and alubarika community still for our adviser activity. Also, in katsina state, we visited the Ung Kwando settlement.

The HelpMum ADVISER represents a significant step forward in the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases, especially in low and middle-income countries. By harnessing the power of Al, we aim to ensure that every child receives the necessary vaccinations, paving the way for a healthier and brighter future.

More moments from MedVerge 2.0.

From product launches across HelpMum, Dobic Healthcare, and SmartMRS to the fireside chat and the energy of the CareCode Hackathon, this one reminded us why we build. Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked hard questions, and pushed us to think bigger about what healthcare in Nigeria can look like. And we are already looking forward to MedVerge 3.0 in 2027
